We had a lovely 2 night stay at Harts Farm. It truly is in a stunning location with amazing views. The accommodation is finished to a very high standard that's stylish and extremely comfortable. Friendly hosts with the added benefit of excellent cider, would definitely book again.

What an amazing stay!
The farm studio completely exceeded expectations, including a bathroom which delivers in every way. A freestanding bathtub night enough to comfortably fit 2 adults, talk about luxury.
Breakfast provisions were plentiful and top quality. Beautiful sour dough bread, local berries, home made spread and honey plus plenty of coffee and tea. The standard of hospitality was amazing and I never felt like I needed more. The views were absolutely beautiful from the room! Take a walk around the farm, we found a pony, beautiful monuments to family members and rows of apple/pear trees. Beautifully secluded but still only a short drive to anything you would need.
An a incredible stay and would highly recommend!

It was a beautiful setting. Penny is an amazing cook! You have to make sure that you organise to have her cook you a meal! It was heavenly. We had a two course meal that was out of this world! I vote chefs hat worthy!
Everything I thought it would be was exact. Even the cute two dogs that would pop over and say hi. It had everything you could want in a place to stay. A cute modern country get away. Loved it!

We stayed here for one night and it was the highlight of our trip. The room was stunning. Linen sheets, quality glassware, beautiful big double bath and complete privacy. A gorgeous view overlooking the dam and with ducks, chickens and dogs around it's still very rustic but in a luxurious way! We opted to stay in and Penny made us a lovely dinner and dessert. I did feel she was a little on edge about how we were treating all the beautiful furnishings in the room (we treated them with utmost respect) so maybe she can relax a little on that front, or don't choose such high quality things for guest's use. We loved the linen sheets and fine water glasses but we certainly didn't need them to be so special, and would have had an excellent stay anyway. But this is a really relaxing, lovely place to stay and the olive oil is delicious!

We stayed at Hart's Farm last weekend, and felt we had to share our really rather perfect experience. The farm itself is beautiful - olive grove, fruit trees, friendly horses, views of gum trees and cows etc. The kind of place where you immediately relax - not only because of the outdoor surounds, but because the accommodation is also so perfect, and the hosts so warm and welcoming. Incredibly comfortable bed with beautiful linen; free standing bath; the day bed with beautiful cushions (and plenty of magazines provided) is to die for and the whole aesthetic is just so perfectly stylish and relaxed.
Penny is clearly an amazing cook, and we had the most delicious (pre-arranged for an additional cost) antipasto platter for dinner - prepared with a range of amazing produce straight from the garden or locally sourced. We were only just recovering from dinner when we launched into breakfast the following morning (which is included). I can't tell you how beautiful it was - a perfect avocado with local goats cheese on toast, muesli, poached figs with incredible local yogurt, orange juice, freshly ground coffee - aaaah!!!!
Suffice to say, we can't recommend Hart's Farm more highly, and hope to be back for longer next time!

We stayed at the farm for three nights. A room was lovely and cosy but didn’t have cooking facilities.
We could have booked a kitchen for an extra fee but thought it wouldn’t be necessary as the breakfast was provided and BBQ should be available outside.
Well, a breakfast package for 3 days, for both of us, was 2 tubs of yogurt, 1 loaf of bread, a bit of butter, jams, musli, and juice. We both thought it is better not to provide any breakfast than this. Have to mention this farm is in the middle of nowhere and to have some food you have to drive a bit…..
We hopped to access BBQ facilities but it all looked unused for some time.
We enjoyed having breakfast on the wooden desk as it was sunny and warm. To our surprise, 2 dogs were running loose around, one of them very aggressive. In the end, we couldn’t have any meals outside as the dogs came immediately. (The booking said no kids or dogs).
We felt like to be dumped to the room and suppose to stay in or even go outside. There were not even spare plastic bags for rubbish that we had to take out every day to the entry gate about 300m away. One of the dogs was getting very aggressive when he smelled leftovers from food and since then, I was worried to get out.

Dear Guest,
I am very sorry that you were disappointed in some elements of your stay at Hart’s Farm.
Firstly, I do apologise for our Jack Russel, Harry, who does sometimes make his presence felt. We try & keep him confined when we have guests, but he obviously went exploring undetected by us on this occasion. If we had been made aware that you were impacted by the dogs during your stay, we would certainly have been responsive to your concerns.
Our Hart’s Farm website does state that we have dogs & I am sorry that you were not aware of the fact if you booked through another booking site - I shall make sure that information is included in future.
We are always happy to provide top up breakfast supplies if needed, and I do usually state this when I greet guests. Again, on our own website, we describe the breakfast in more detail, but shall make sure that it is noted on other booking sites as well.
The BBQ is not used regularly, but does work for both grilled and roast meats. We do prepare it for guests when they request to use it.
I can make sure that there are some extra bags provided to put rubbish in (we try to minimise plastic waste), the garbage bins are just by the front gate, which is only about 50m from the room.
Had we been made aware of any of your concerns at the time, we would certainly have made every endeavour to address them. Our business depends on a positive response from our guests and we work hard to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience when they stay with us.
We are in a rural location, which is a key element of our guests enjoyment, but there are many places to eat & buy food within a 5 to 15 minute drive.
If you would like to contact me, I would be happy to offer a small compensatory gift of Harts Farm products.

Hart's Farm is peaceful and quiet and provides a lovely outlook over a dam, with ducklings!, onto olive groves and beautiful green hills. The room itself is beautifully decorated with quality linen and a huge bathroom. A great base for a couple of days away in the spectacular Mornington peninsula.

We enjoyed a magical two night stay and would recommend it for any couple looking for a boutique, gourmet and stylish B&B. Penny's cooking, accompanied with a peaceful lookout on the deck made for a special evening. Decor, fittings and furnishings make for a comfortable stay. A good base to explore Red Hill and surrounding areas. We will be back......

Stayed here on our wedding night and wished we could have skipped the family BBQ the next day and stayed on for another night or two. The room is furnished to an exceptionally high standard, with a bed you could sleep in for days, and a bathroom you could live in. The larder stocked with high quality local and home made produce was fantastic for preparing our own breakfast, and the views across the Olive Grove and hills very pleasant. Perfect base for exploring the Mornington Peninsula, hiding away during a cold winter weekend or, or for a wedding night.

We stayed here 2 nights. The room is delightful. Spacious & very well appointed with a table etc for breakfast, chairs to relax in & a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is large & luxurious. All the bed linen & towels etc is high quality.
Breakfast of muesli fruit & yogurt plus bread & condiments were provided.
This is all in a beautiful setting. The room looks out to an olive grove & we were surrounded by an orchard. We had a pair of king parrots visit every morning.
The only negative was the internet was not connected and the 4G reception was haphazard.

Hi Cally,
I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Hart’s Farm, though I am very sorry the internet wasn’t working. With 4G reception also intermittent, it must have been very frustrating for you.
We are scheduled to get NBN early next year & have been assured that this will improve our WiFi & Telstra says it is working to improve the 4G dropouts that the Peninsula has been experiencing over the summer.
Apologies for the technological failures.
Kind regards,
Penny Hart
