Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beach has always had seaweed piles all the way along it. The weed is just fine leaves that don't smell but some people hate it - there are some patches where there is no weed at the extreme ends and once you have got through the weed then it is a good place to swim because the surf breaks on the reef unless it is big so the beach is a safe place to swim. If you cross the stream and walk around the corner to Point Leo there is a secluded strip of sand worth a walk

Visited on Friday 14th February, well worth stopping to have a look at, good for a quick dip in the water or a walk along the sand.

My little One had a surfing lesson here and I wanted to swim.
Her lesson (with Salty Surf School) was amazing and so much fun for her. I wanted to do some open water swim training for triathlons. Way too rocky, very shallow and full of seaweed. A good beach for those who don’t spend a lot of time at the beach I suppose!

It has great views across to Phillip Island but the beach itself is not that good and when visited was covered in sea weed. You can do better at Point Leo and Flinders. Parking is an issue on a busy summers day.

A really unique beach as it has a car parking area that runs all
The way down the shoreline to the cliff. Great to be able to sit in car and watch kids play.
The waves like a lot of protected Melb beaches are non existent

This beach is stunning at any time of the day with views over to Phillip Island. When all the madding crowds flock to the "other side ", we have Shoreham. New cafe going in soon.

Found this beach on our way home from Flinders. It was good for a stroll by the beach with the sound of the sea

Why isn’t the Shoreham beach cleared of seaweed for people to enjoy the beach?
