We knew we were heading to Phillip island to see the penguin parade so got a surprise when our tour guide (from posh Penguins) suddenly mentioned we would be detouring to see a parade of a different kind. We had no idea what to expect...More

3rd time here and always love it. Crossing over the bridge at 11.30 and seeing the 30 odd Pelicans already waiting for dinner time at 12. Friendly lady from the Co-Op also feeding & providing funny commentary. Well worth a look.

That was a great experience to be so close to these gorgeous birds! The woman was friendly and told a lot of interesting facts about pelicans. Nice to see that birds are being looked after well.

This place is really delightful... there is a large statue of a pelican with signage to explain how our (human) footsteps can affect the local wildlife... and to encourage us to think about the impact we have on the environment. There is plenty of parking...More

This is just great fun seeing the pelicans up close. The parade happens every day at 12:00 noon when a rep from the Fisherman’s Co-op comes down to the beach with trays of fish and the pelicans come in for a feed. There is free...More

I am sure the birds will be there but unsure if the Co-op will be open. However because San Remo is reliant upon tourism, I feel it will be open.

The Pelican Feeding is a free event, on the beach right next to San Remo Fishermans Co-op. It takes place every day at noon, and usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes. If your boat tour leaves at 1pm, you'll have plenty of time to... More
