We were enthusiastically greeted as we got out of our car by a gorgeous kelpie pup and a beautiful Labrador.
The warm welcome was continued inside by the owner and chief winemaker as well as his wife who stopped in and his son Harry. We were given a guided tasting of all the available wines and it was wonderful to chat about the wine making process and the story behind each wine.

We had a regional platter for lunch and ate it outside in the seating area. It was a bit cold and overcast but we can see how we will be making this winery a regular stop for us in the future, particularly in the warmer months!

We ended up buying a few bottles of wine which we will enjoy until our next visit!

First time at this winery for the Rutherglen Wine Festival. What an absolute gem of a place every member of the family made it their mission to welcome us and have a chat and make sure we were enjoying and had everything we needed. A beautiful place to have a wedding as well. Been doing the wine festival for over 10 years now and this place is top of our lost now. Can’t wait to see you all again at Olive Hill.

We read the lovely article in the local pepper about the winery and booked a table . Could not believe that we hadn’t discovered it earlier. Not a wine at tasting that we didn’t enjoy and more. The grazing platter and pizza were excellent and the ambience, beyond our dreams. Life is good!! We have booed a table for next weekend for our family. Don’t miss out on this quintessential north east experience

Went to this winery yesterday. What a find. A historical property with out any apologies for its authenticity and wine passion we were meet at the door by an enthusiastic. pup , a old lab and a fat cat who escorted us to the wine makers den. Loved his tasting and was very taken with his top end wines. Our favourite of the day due to the passion and the quality of the wine. Well worth a visit.

Great service and knowledge passed on during the tasting. We purchased a few bottles and were given "Club Member" prices even though we were only passing blow ins. The Duriff" was the best we have ever had. The kitty cat and dog were also very friendly.

Thank you for such a positive review. My husband and winemaker, Ross, is a very passionate producer and enjoys showcasing his wine. We believe the Durif is the best too!!

From entering the gigantic glass doors to this amazing barn, with chandeliers and ornate gold mirrors...this place had a cozy charm out of the chilly wind. Ross welcomed us on a gloomy cold day, with a warm heater switched on straight away. His lovely labradors and adorable cats also purred and hung around for pats. Animal lovers, you would love this little group. I have to commend these wines, in particular the Durif, Shiraz and du Cluse. Ross offered a wealth of knowledge on wines and the region to boot. Definitely recommend.

Thank you for your positive review and delighted you enjoyed the wines, the winery and of course the entourage of pets. I may be biased with the winemaker's skill and knowledge as husband and winemaker, Ross, is certainly a passionate producer and very proud of the wines and the region.

We enjoyed our short stop to try some wines, lovely family business I tried 2 wines and liked both and ended up getting a bottle of shiraz. The kids were kept entertained by the barn cat who is very friendly. It would make a lovely place to have a wedding and functions

Really enjoyed our visit. The vineyard is lovely, so peaceful with a gorgeous Victorian house as it’s centerpiece. The tasting room is set within a barn that doubles as function room which must make a gorgeous venue for a wedding. Ross the winemaker is very knowledgeable and personable and has a real passion for his craft, he makes a wonderful Oaked Chardonnay amongst his repertoire. Really worth a visit to a family run vineyard cellar door.

We were drawn into this winery by the beautiful old building up on the hill and the lovely Olive lined drive. The cellar door is located in a very old barn which is also used for Weddings. The barn was apparently the original winery. There is clearly a lot of history in this place. The wines are pleasant and our favourite was De Cluse which is a fascinating combination of 12 different grape varieties. Ross the owner was very pleasant to talk to and learn a little about the history of the property. Good little winery
