As a longtime customer of Stanton and Killeen, and an annual visitor to the winery, I entered the Class 3 Muscat category of the" Liquid Luxury amateur" competition in September 2023. I had purchased an Oak Barrel 23 Liters size) and basic muscat material in 1996 and kept it up to date in an amateur way for 25 years, with regular references to the winemakers at S&K, including testing of a sample of the muscat each 2-3 years, I would get advice each time to be caried out to keep the Muscat up to the mark. My entry was more of curiosity as to how it was as a standard compared to other entries. I won the best class 3 Muscat, and the best Muscat in the show with a Top Gold Medal and a score of 97 points. I also am a member of the Port club and enjoy Topaque as well.

Excellent in every way !! Great attention to assuring all we’re well looked after as well as providing great wines to taste. The wine show for individual owners of barrels is a great innovation and well organised and provides incentives and advice for us to improve our own barrels of wine.

The staff at Stanton & Killeen were excellent they went out of there way to answer our questions and to explain their products . There Muscat was excellent, the best in the region . I have no hesitation in recommending a visit and experiencing the wines and fortified products. An exceptional innovation is there amateur fortified wine show for people who have their own barrel at home.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience at Stanton and Killeen winery. We were with our four adult children and one of their partners. We had ordered a grazing platter of cheeses,meats,olives and fruit along with a generous array of bread and biscuits. It went down very well with their Rose and Chardonnay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this place for a great experience.

Excellent experience( even for a longtime local). Host Stuart was excellent in his knowledge and interaction with several groups simulaneuosly . Enjoyable time over two and a half hours. Highly recommended. -Warick Thompson

We were doing our own tour of the area with me as designated driver. These wineries we went to were all very interesting and offered and range of wines etc to taste. I did try the muscat here as it has been a favourite of mine for 40 years. The blonde short haired lady dealing with us was terrific. Great explantations and patience servicing us with the various wines. For me the best place for Muscat. They also have a range in 5l glass flagons which is very good. A place not to miss.

Stanton and Killeen offer the most amazing and personal wine tasting experience. The Iberian Wine Tasting features the Portuguese wines they are famous for. It offers an education in these wines, so good that we have repeated for the last 3 years because every vintage is different. It is conducted by very friendly and generous staff who are more than happy to answer all questions. Stanton & Killeen are certainly worth a visit to expand your life's wine experience.

Stuart treated us to a degustation of wines and fortifieds, and an unforgettable experience. A master conversationalist, Stuart sent us home with book recommendations, a revelation of a recipe for leftover risotto, a short course in local history, and many, many wines. Everything on tasting was delightful. We especially loved the rose and sparkling shiraz durif.

What a wonderful visit to Stanton & Killeen Winery. We had a great tasting, the wines were great and even better one of the best hosts we have ever had at a winery. Stuart really knew his stuff and was fun to deal with and you could tell how much he loved his job. Yes, we left with various bottles of wine and will return.

This winery was one of our best cellar doors in the region. The wines were beautiful and the staff were really engaging. They shared their passion and creativity, even taking the extra time to show us around the property. Stuart and Zalan gave us a Rutherglen highlight and we came away with a boot full of wines and fortifieds to enjoy for a long time. Thank you for giving us an inviting and memorable experience.
