Despite having very little boating experience, through Bulls Cruisers we had a really enjoyable afternoon on the Gippsland Lakes complete with a swim at Duck Arm.
We hired 'Audrey' the 18ft Terrara dayboat which was fairly intuitive to operate. Craig patiently took us through the induction and was happy to answer our questions, with tips about docking the boat and crossing with the ferry on McMillan Strait.
A tip though - watch out for unexpected weather! The day started out warm and sunny but lightning strikes and rain made conditions a bit more challenging on our return to port. Audrey seemed reliable and well-equipped though and we made it back with no problems.
Should we be back in Paynesville we'd be keen to take up a full day's hire with Bulls and make the crossing to the Ninety Mile Beach.

We hired a Terrara day boat from Bulls Cruisers...Craig was very friendly, talked us through everything about the boat/ rules etc, made great suggestions of where to go and had a great sense of humour! We had a fantastic day out and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the lakes....even catching some fish! The Terrara boat is an easy boat to drive. It has some shade cover, but for a full day trip I think next time we will take the bigger boat option with more shade cover and a bit more comfort. We thought the cost was good value for an excellent family day out.

This is the second renting with Bulls Cruisers, we rented the
Burraman Pontoon boat, accommodates 14 but was great for our small party of 5, no captain license needed, we all drove the boat, ww were able to access a private little beach by driving the boat onto the sand and mooring to a tree, stairs in the front made disembarking a breeze . We were able to take our dogs however they are not allowed in the National Parks, the spot we stopped was dogs on leash, so we were fine. The rental was quite reasonable for 7 hours and plenty of time to explore and fish. Staff was friendly and efficient in showing us the ropes. Highly recommend.

2 great days of touring the Gippsland Lakes on the Burranan day boat. It is very comfortable and easy to drive and manoeuvre, with lots of shaded seating suitable for groups up to 12. Highly recommend it for day trips exploring the Lakes including fishing, picnics or just cruising the canals

We hired the Burraran, pontoon boat, licensed for 14 people but as the 3 of us like to stretch out and with our pups accompanying us, this was the best choice, they would feel more secure, had a great day on the water, boat was fairly easy to maneuver once we got the hang of it. Plenty of shade, lots of birdlife, so relaxing.
Tried fishing but decided to take a nap instead. Can’t wait to do it again.

DON'T GO THERE! We were coming from Loch Sport with our 3 kids to spend the day on a boat. After leaving our place at about 8am, it took us 2 hours to arrive in Paynesville. We unfortunately couldn't easily find the place and called Pete (company contact) to get some directions. Being mislead by the previous location of Bulls Cruisers, it took us 15-20m to finally reach the right place. At this point, Pete was not anymore picking up the phone when we were trying to call. We've been lucky to find other clients waiting for him. When Pete arrived, he was very very angry. He was obsessed by the fact that we couldn't find the place with his instructions, and decided not to rent the boat anymore to us... His behavior was very aggressive. We tried to talk to him about the situation but his decision was firm so he just left. We were shocked by his over reaction and how angry he was. Maybe he was having a bad day but that doesn't excuse the way he dealt with us.

Saw this online, asked alot of question through email before I decide to book, Kim was very nice and helped me answered all my question. So I ended up with booking the Sunday half day afternoon cruise. Suppose to be 4 people and 2 dogs, unfortunately friends couldn’t make it so only me my partner and our dog. Arrived abit late but Kim extended our time which was very nice of him. Craig, the instructor showed us and gave all the instructions by how to driving the boat ( first time here), was very nervous at the start but once boat went to the wide area, was very amazing and awesome! Gotta see all the birds, islands and experience like a cap in the sea. Sometimes very strong waves and winds. Tips: bring extra cloth and meet at the picking up place not the shop address!
Overall very pleased with the service. Will definitely come back

We had a most fabulous day out on the 'Jewel'. Craig met us on the jetty & provided us with a map & directions & boating instructions. We set off, all excited (4 adults & 4 kids). We stopped off at 3 locations & went exploring. Craig was out on his boat in the middle of the day & found us & told us where we could see dolphins. We were very fortunate to see lots of dolphins & pelicans. The boat ran perfectly. We all came home very happy & the day was the highlight of our Easter trip for sure!

Great day out with the family on the Bulls Cruiser Burranan boat. It comfortably fits 12 adults with all having seating, has a large esky/cooler and the boat is very easy to drive and park (no boat license required). It is a lovely day out exploring the canals, Raymond island and inlets around Paynesville. Highly recommended

Craig was great at explaining how to drive the boat. The boat was adequate (Eliza) we had 8 adults and 3 dogs. We traveled from Bull Cruisers (Painsville) to 90 mile Beach to Loch Sport and back to Painsville. A great day had by all!!!
