Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent & very beautiful location for a walk or run. There's a large playground, accommodating all ages + BBQ & toilet facilities. The lake is full of bird life. From Oct-April there's also a local sailing club every Sunday (Lakeside Sailing Club - Pakenham)

A fantastic well maintained flat, wide pathway round a beautiful lake. Easily accessible for people with disabilities. So many beautiful birds to watch. Can be quite busy with dog walkers and joggers. Every one you pass says "hello". Well positioned benches for a rest and close by are public toilets and a children's play park.

This can become as busy as Bourke Street on weekends and fine weather but the walkers are generally a very social mix and are often up for a chat. Watch for prams and riders in the evenings. It's definitely a shared waking and riding track.

We love taking a brisk walk around the beautiful lake. The bird life is absolutely amazing. We do 4-5 laps of the lake and it’s so relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely place for a walk, to walk your dog, feed the ducks, have a bbq, fish or take your children to the two play grounds. The playground for younger children is fenced which is a good for safety.

This has been created with a lot of thought great place to walk or run around the lake, lots of wildlife to see lots of kids have a bit of a fish it’s all about catch and throw back as they think it’s not safe to eat. Playgrounds and barbecues/toilets available.

This is a big pond, with s good sized path going around it. On the western side is a small playground and bench seats are placed throughout. But that's it, yes water views one side and looking into peoples back yards the other. There is a cafe, but was closed at around four Sunday afternoon. Would have done good business to stay open longer as enough walkers to warrant it. On the eastern side if lake, cafe side there is a mine field of duck poo and doggie droppings are found with regular ease throughout

Beautiful lake, 1.5km walk around. There is a fabulous kids playground, recently updated, with BBQ area. At the other end of the lake, is the Cultural Centre with its cafe.

Love to bring the kids here on a lazy Sunday. Let them fish for trout until they get bored then head down to the park.

Lakeside reserve is a facility enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. It features an easy, flat 1.5 km walk around the lake and at one end two child friendly exercise and play areas.
A particularly attraction is the Lakeness Dragon.
There is also free gas barbecues and public toilets.
The lake abounds in bird life and the area is well maintained by Cardinia Council.
