Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love this place. The staff are friendly, the food is seriously good and the Gardens are so very pretty. We went in early April. Each of us really enjoyed our lunch and there is also good selection of local wines to choose from. We wanted to walk around the gardens and come back for dessert and the staff were very accommodating and reserved a table for us. We spent about an hour in the gardens and came back for coffee and cake. Certainly a very indulgent afternoon :)

Although the cost of $10 per adult sounds a little steep the gardens are magnificent and you can take a picnic In with you. The place has aged well since out last visit over 10 years ago. Well worth a wander

A visit to Cloudehill Gardens and The Diggers/Seasons Cafe, in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, was such a treat. I am so glad we visited here, what a special place this is. We were a party of four and had a lovely lunch sitting outdoors on the terrace enjoying the scenery. Indoors and Outside was fully booked, the staff were flat out but we had a lovely waiter who looked after us. We all ordered different dishes, which showed off local produce, delicious, matched with a lovely bottle of red, no disappointments at all. After lunch we enjoyed a walk around all the gardens, stunning/serene, what a way to spend a lovely sunny day. On the way out, there is a gift shop with a wide variety of purchases for planting/gardening and information readily available. Next time I am in Melbourne I would like to visit another of The Diggers Club Gardens. Well worth a visit, Enjoy.

On a coolish day we sat outside. The waitress brought us blankets and looked after us very well. One of us had king salmon with delicious rosti and hummus, the other had a hamburger served with small bucket of chips...all delicious. We need to support restaurants such as this which provide very good food and service. The gardens and Diggers Club shop are an added bonus.

We had lunch at "Cloud Hill" which has a cozy restaurant near the gardens entrance. This was a small gathering of friends and former work associates of a dear old friend of ours over the past fifty years.
The meal was tasty and the service was excellent. Prices were quite reasonable and the menu was large enough to allow most tastes to be catered for. We choose a prawn dish and it was delicious. Well recommended.

The gardens are lovely, with lots of variety. The store has a large selection of seeds and other garden supplies. The nursery plants did look a bit droopy and not as good quality as I have seen in other nursery, and the there was quite a wait in the cafe for just cake and tea.
Overall, a lovely garden with lots of places to explore.

In the Dandenong Ranges these gardens are a joy to see. The gardens are divided into several botanical sections and every section has a beautiful and serene aspect. The entrance is at the top of a hill and the gardens meander downwards, so be ready for a steady climb upwards. Whetheryou go to see the amazing variety of trees and plants. or whether you go to just sit in any or all of the little alcoves, it's worth the $10 entry fee,

Can you believe that these beautiful gardens are maintained by just one superhuman gardener Adam. Do yourself a favour and check them out. Say hi to Adam whilst you are there. The paths are gravel and sometimes steep. But the magnificent garden is worth the walk. Take your time, bring a picnic and enjoy the view. You won’t be disappointed.

FYI...The restaurant and Diggers club are on the same property, but they are separate entities. I have read many reviews that believe that Diggers maintain the gardens or that Seasons is run by Cloudehill...none of which is true. All individual business on the one property.

Loved this place the gardens were magnificent. Very English style but well planned and so much to see with different varieties of garden set ups and statues popping up in different areas of the huge garden. You need at least 3/4 hours to see this garden i would love to see it through its different seasons. Definately worth the money and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
