Go Ride A Wave Ocean Grove runs 2 hour surf lessons every day at Ocean Grove. We run the lessons in waist deep water and provide full length Quicksilver wetsuits and soft beginner surfboards with 2 hours of instruction and fun. Our experienced instructors, who are also surf life savers, will get you standing and surfing a wave in no time.

We did the a three day Go Ride a wave program for our 6-7 year old girls, and the four day Surf Groms program for our 10 year olds. Totally recommend, our kids enjoyed with their cousins which increased the fun.
Dads got in the water with the 6-7 year olds, recommend that for help catching the waves and board stability.
The instructors were terrific, patient and knowledgeable.
Will do the level 2 again next year for the 10 years olds! Great summer activity ! Special thanks to Chelsea and Billy !

The whole ‘Go Ride a Wave’ team went above and beyond to make sure my children had an amazing experience. The ease of booking a weekend surf experience with all current equipment supplied made the adventure blissful! It was wonderful to see everyone smiling, laughing and best of all they all surfed a wave. Thank you very much, I would highly recommend this company and will be booking frequent sessions in the future.

What a morning. My 13yr old son and I headed out for our first attempt at surfing.
I started off clueless, but finished off confident enough to get to my feet most times.
A must do thing here in Ocean Grove. And the coaches were awesome and friendly.
Not easy learning new tricks in your 40s, but the coaches taught me tricks to improve, and improve I did.
My son picked it up much quicker, so they gave him some newer tricks, like how to get more speed.
10/10 would recommend to anyone.

My daughter and I loved our surfing lesson together in Ocean Grove. We both had different experience levels before this lesson and we both were offered extension advice to further our abilities. We came away with a greater knowledge of reading the waves and ability to ride. A super fun day.

It was so, so, so fun. Can't recommend it more highly. The (weather) conditions were absolutely horrendous, and we all still had a great time and were all standing up by the end. Grace and Jack were so brilliant - can't thank them enough for making it such a fun session. Thanks guys! Can't wait to get back out there again :) Bec

Excellent surf lessons in every way. Ocean Grove was a great beach to start at, with some good sized waves enough to really catch. Wetsuits The instructors were great- brief teaching session covering safety and technique then straight on the water. They looked after everyone in the water trying to help all of us catch a few waves. Excellent for our 11 yo and for us too. Most participants managed to get on their feet and really surf.
Equipment was great- excellent wetsuits and boards just right for begin era. Best of all the great instructors Matt and Zack who looked after everyone especially the kids.

What a great experience. Beautiful location and perfect conditions.
My kids had a great surf lesson with Tom. He was very patient and encouraging. We had a variety of ages in our group and he catered for everyone’s needs.
My 13yr old enjoyed the lesson so much he has requested his own surf board for Xmas.
Highly recommend.

Thanks guys and girls for your help in putting something special together for our kids who missed out on Gr 6 camp this year. Despite an ordinary looking day, the kids had a fantastic time, and each one of them caught a wave...and them some. Kudos to Whitney who did a great job!

I booked myself a 2 hour lesson with GRAW and couldn't reccomend them enough. Shinae and Toni were our instructors and really new what they were talking about. They made sure we were safe at all times, gave me tips throughout the who 2 hours and in thw last 20 minutes i finally managed to stand up on the board not once but twice. At 31 that was something I never thought I could do so thanks to both of them. Will be booking another lesson soon.

Purchased 3 lesson pack for daughter and surfed at both Ocean Grove and Torquay. Instructors were great and she learnt new things each time. She is now hooked and wanting to get her own board. Very accommodating when we rescheduled one lesson due to poor conditions. Would definitely recommend.
