Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As with mist info centres, there was a comprehensive range of booklets and pamphlets. The staff were most informative when posed with our questions.

The Phillip Island Visitor Centre was chock full of information and the staff member we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. Definitely made our experience easy and helped give us information on things we were unsure about. Recommend stopping here to get information and advice from the staff.

I am so glad we visited the Visitor Information Centre. The wonderful and friendly staff helped us to find $200 worth of vouchers to spend on the island.

Nicely laid out, the Philip Island Visitor Centre gives you a warm atmosphere and has good facilities. Feels like an oasis of warmth after experiencing the wet and cold conditions outside.

The Philip Island Visitor Information is one of the first places you will pass once you cross the San Remo Bridge and is located on the left-hand side.
As per visiting any new area, it is well worth stopping at the local Visitor Information Centre.
Even if you know a region well, a local who usually volunteers, will always give you many helpful insights on attractions, ticket purchases, hidden gems or even where the best places to eat are.
The usual maps, souvenirs, gifts and local produce are on offer as well as public toilets and a picnic area.

My wife and I stopped here to get maps and have a short rest during our recent holiday in Phillip Island.
We have been here many times over the years, but our previous visit was in 2014. We decided it was time for another visit, especially after six Covid lockdowns in Melbourne.
This place is always clean and well maintained.

Great all abilities accessible ramp, building is clean and well kept with information boards outside about Phillip Island, and busts of Aussie grand prix winners.
It really does depend on what staffer you get on the day about how helpful they will be. The staffer we got was adequate but getting information from him was akin to getting blood out of a stone (maybe he was simply having a bad day). He had the wrong date on our penguin parade night, fortunately, the penguin parade staffer (supervisor) sorted that out on the night so we could still get in. When I returned and asked for the receipt to be redone with the correct dates, (for regional travel voucher claim), another staffer was very willing to get this done for us.
Lots of pamphlets and the like, and some very expensive souvenirs, (made in China), available for purchase.

Clothing? Will be visiting the penguin attractions the first week of February. Recommended attire? Warm? cool? Wet?

Hi there. As the Penguin Parade is outside, it can get a little chilly with a sea breeze, it is a good idea to bring along a jacket and a rug to sit on. Please be sure to pre-purchase your tickets which are available at the Phillip Island Visitor Information Centre open 7 days per week. Hope you have a fabulous time on the Island and look forward to seeing you in February.
