Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I stayed in a Lakeview Room with a balcony overlooking this lake, at Nagambie Waterfront Motel.

We decided to walk along the walking track next to this lake. We walked until the track ended and walked a bit further to see the new housing estate, before turning back.

We enjoyed the scenic views and physical exercise.

We walked around the edge of the lake mid morning basically from the Visitor Centre towards the Rowing Course. It wasn’t possible to walk further. The walk was easy and peaceful. The wind across the lake was fresh.

I am sure this lovely lake was very peaceful 20 or more years ago. Sitting here at 1730 on a Sunday evening overlooking the lake, and all we have heard for the past 90 mins since we arrived is the thundering roar of Jetskis. Who would ever want to live next to the lake. It is lovely and quiet at 0800 in the morning. But by 1000 it starts to come alive.
I am sure the regatta is a wonderful event, where you can only hear the roar of the crowd cheering on the teams. Such a shame for what would otherwise be a picturesque tranquil lake.

Rowing regatta utilising whole of lake provided some entertainment for visitors. Quite picturesque viewed from restaurant balconies.

This scenic lake is the highlight of Nagambie because it is so centrally located next to the town centre.

My wife and I parked our car along the side street and walked a few kilometres along the sides of the large lake.

There were a few boats on the lake and a few black swans swimming along. A few kids were enjoying swimming.

During the pandemic, my wife and I have switched to intrastate travel because many borders were closed. We have gotten used to the ease of intrastate travel and will do more in future. It is good for social distancing during off peak seasons.

Adapting to the new normal.

This lake was created in 1891 by damming the Goulburn River....The Nagambie Lakes area is the only wine region in Australia where the local climate is significantly influenced by inland waterways. The network of lakes and lagoons which form part of the Goulburn River result in a cooler climate than surrounding areas.

The town of Nagambie is nestled around the lake and you can see why.... it's really quite attractive with boardwalks to enjoy a walk along it's edge. This lake would attract interest all year round... with watersports, walkers, fisherman, bird watchers and photographers. It's well worth stopping at.

Great attraction to Nagambie. Town slowly spreading around lake and a walking track all round it would be sensational eventually.

I was on my way to Shepparton and I always make an effort to stop off at Nagambie and sit by the lake and enjoy a nice lunch by the lake. There is good Cafe and pubs with good food. There is no much to do on the water. But I loved the bronze statue of the famous Black Caviar by the lake. The old heritage buildings are great and kept in fantastic condition. Great place to have a day visit or stay a while.
