While stepping onto a boat for the first time since 1988 was a touch nerve wracking, the boys at Nautic could not have made it easier ... even after I made my best attempt to crash the boat in the first 30 seconds !!!! Navigating and steering takes full concentration, but as a virtual novice if you listen to and follow instructions given before leaving dock, you can get through it. The tricky part is docking, otherwise known as crash landing, but we scraped through. The trip to Barrier Point and walking our picnic thru to 90 mile beach ... superb. I could not praise this company highly enough... thanks fellas. We had a blast.

We hired a boat here yesterday for a return trip to Barrier Landing. Jeremy and Cam were both very helpful (and patient) with all our initial questions about which boat to book and for how long. We hired the ‘Endurance’ for four hours which was ideal. As novice boaties Greg helped us get started and we were also assisted with docking at the pier on our return. The trip to Barrier Landing took about an hour and three quarters with various short detours on the way. The return trip took about an hour and a quarter. Very happy with the advice, service and our boat. Day boat hire was the right way to go for us.

Where else can you cruise across a vast lake system or down a river at your own pace with a perfect observation deck and see dolphins, seals and a myriad of amazing birds. This is a perfect family holiday destination. The boats are easy to maneuver and involve team work especially when mooring and navigating. Our boys loved the involvement they had including keeping watch, map reading, tying ropes and fishing. There are not many forms of transport available where the children can enjoy the traveling part quite like on a boat. Unlike being strapped to a seat in a car they can walk around, play cards at the table, and even have a BBQ on the top deck while traveling. There are so many beautiful places to stop for a walk and abundant places to stay for a quiet night sleep. If you are into history the Bulls Marina boats being built on the lakes are a perfect way to connect with local history. The team at Riviera Nautic are great and really helpful. I would highly recommend anyone considering a family holiday to contact Riviera Nautic and discuss which boat would be best fit for your family or group.

Great 5 day trip. Love that you can spend a Night on your vessel before you leave your mooring. Plenty of places to visit or not visit if you don’t want to.

You can hire a boat & cruise the stunning lakes without the need for a marine license . There are day boats , sailing boats & motor cruisers , all presented perfectly . You can go off on an adventure & be in your own world for the whole time you are away . It really is the best way to see the lakes in all their glory .
