Fantastic organisation from the start. No question too silly for these fellows to answer and assist with. Guides were professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They have become personal friends.

MIck and his team did an amazing job for us on our 2-week self-guided tour Sydney to Adelaide. The roads were great, hotels fabulous and the way we were taken care of was exceptional. We would definitely rebook!

My husband and I have been on numerous trips with the Compass team. Our first was the Australian "Outback Encompassed" in 2015 and from then we've done 4 more tours with them. Bikes are top notch/best available, routes, etc ... but actually, the best part about the trips are the people we meet! We've done a few trips with another Euopean owned company and they were top notch! But after traveling with these two companies abroad and on our own -- we found the fellow travelers/motorcyclist that ride with Compass are just more fun. There's a sense of comraderie that develops with all/most of the riders on the trip, much more so than traveling with the other European company. Owners Mick + Jerry are just all around good guys, hardworking, honest, regular mates-- and they go out of their way to accommodate and assist their riders every step of the way. With 100% percent enthusiasm, we can highly recommend this tour company. Cheers!

My husband persuaded me to do this marathon adventure - it was a well guided and fantastically organised tour - and if you want more detail log onto my blog site We travelled on our BMW1200GS motorbike. The tour is suited to experienced riders - and you need to be prepared both in terms of your bike and your gear, be reasonably physically fit, and mentally tough for some of the challenges you will encounter. This is a GROUP tour - and you need to be flexible, and acknowledge that your accommodation is sometimes restricted (although many LOVE camping) to camping - for about 30 nights. Yes - there are sometimes hotels in the area- but due to the nature of the trip, including uncertain roads, the need to move slower, or avoid situations (ie as directed by the military in Russia!) it is a tremendous advantage to be able to camp - rather than push on into night where it may not be secure. And we camped in some magnificent surrounds- on the banks of wild rivers and on the edges of giant forests. It is literally impossible for this trip to be planned without the flexibility of camping on occasions- to locate accommodation for more than 20 people at short notice (in the event you don't get to where you had planned) is impossible in these remote areas. Whilst some on our trip were prepared to leave our group and press on ahead and located accommodation - -this was their choice as they did not enjoy camping. It is vital that you read the information about the trip in detail- to decide that you 'don't want to camp' halfway into the trip is not useful. We experienced temperatures from -7C to 45C! Don't do this tour if you are seeking a pampered holiday! Compass always had our best interests and safety as its foremost priority. Our guides went over and above the call of duty to make sure we were looked after - and they looked after every member of the tour equally. Hugo, Dennis and Bayne were absolute champions. 27,000 kms, 4 months, 16 countries ! Wowl

I have now completed 3 motorbike tours with Compass Expeditions. In 2015 I completed the Cairo to Cape Town trip through Africa. 2017 South America through Peru, Chile and Bolivia. And last year 2018 the infamous Road of Bones. What exceptional journeys and experiences. I have become friends with so many people from these trip from around the world, and we still remain in touch. What experiences to travel all the way through Africa, Russia, Siberia, the 'stans, Europe and the special South American countries. Compass Expeditions really made these trips work. The exceptional planning, the organisation, accommodation and the back-up from support vehicles and numerous staff on every trip. It was everything promised and I felt completely safe on these journeys. I will continue to do more of these trips while I can, and all I can say is - WHAT A FANTASTIC WAY TO SEE THE WORLD!
