What an amazing experience. I surprised my husband for his birthday with a Hot Air Balloon ride with Goldrush Ballooning.
From the moment I booked, it was a great experience. Constant communication, and great information and advice regarding our flight. Paul, our pilot was friendly and informative, the night prior to our flight and on the morning of.
Any questions were answered clearly and in a way, a novice could interpret. We were allowed to be involved in the setting up of the Balloon and once landed, allowed to assist the packing up.
Once in the air, the experience was truly amazing, so peaceful and quiet. My husband and I were just blown away at how beautiful the sunrise and the Scenery of the Mansfield area was.
Once the flight was over we were transported back to Mansfield to the Coffee merchants for a breakfast with the crew.
The breakfast was delicious with local produce used on the menu and the coffee was one of the smoothest I have ever had. A glass of Prosecco and a toast to our amazing experience.
I highly recommend joining the crew for breakfast as it's a wonderful way to ask as many questions as you like and a great way to finish your morning.
We can't wait to do this again, maybe in the King Valley next time.

Jenni and I had an absolute awesome experience with Goldrush Ballooning with Josie our pilot and Craig as the ground crew who were both exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The entire flight felt surreal. You could hear the birds waking up and the cattle mooing below as we drifted with nature.
Absolutely perfect weather with beautiful views East of Mansfield, a peaceful calm enjoyable flight Josie excelled with such a gentle soft landing.
What a wonderful adventure thanks to the wonderful staff Josie and Craig.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Wow!!! We had the most perfect day! Maaike got us involved in helping set up, Paul was the perfect Captain, Craig was there for our incredibly soft landing (not what i expected) and Alegra - the balloon dog hung around for lots of pats! The view from the balloon over Delatite and Mansfield was incredible! Would recommend doing this with family, friends or even on your own!

I would highly recommend Paul and Maaike at Goldrush ballooning. We had the best experience from start to finish. It was beautiful and graceful floating around. And the champagne breakfast afterwards was a great way to finish. I am certainly going to do this again

It was the most perfect morning for a hot air balloon ride. My partner and I were treating ourselves to a lovely flight before moving away from the area. The staff were so friendly, polite and put the safety of the passengers first while allowing us to engage in the preparation of pre flight checks. Every photo opportunity was made the most of, which was essential being amongst the most exquisite vineyards in Victoria. The 1.5 hour balloon ride was followed by a breakfast at Tiffany’s vibe at the Brown Brother’s boutique Winery. An amazing experience I would thoroughly recommend to all of my friends and family, particularly those wanting to visit the boujee area of Milawa Victoria, an understated location.

What an amazing and exciting way to spend a morning! From the moment we met the friendly and reassuringly calm staff we knew it was going to be a great experience. I’m not sure what I expected but I was surprised at how solid and stable the basket felt as we drifted so peacefully over the beautiful landscape. At no point did I feel unsteady or scared. The booking process was easy online - my only comment would be that if you are thinking of doing this while on holidays book it early in your stay in case due to weather or any other reason they need to move your booking (which happened in our case) thereby giving yourself best chance of not missing out. Would definitely do this again

The basket is very stable, and it is a very gentle way to fly as you are moving as part of the wind, so there are no sudden bumps or lurches.
We always appreciate bookings with a little notice to ensure availability and to make sure nobody misses out.

We went up on one of the balloons as part of the balloon fiesta in Milawa in March. Booking was really easy from their website and when I emailed through a question, Paul responded straight away. Instructions were very clear and we took off from the Brown Brothers' winery which was easy to find in the dark. We had Mitch as our pilot and he was fantastic. Very prompt with the set-up and the landing was so smooth. The whole atmosphere was incredible and we would absolutely do this again.

Curtis and Maaike were fabulous...professional..fun and safety conscious...I was greeted outside the Mansfield Coffee Merchant by a four footed Lady wearing a hi viz vest who quickly introduced me to her Staff...the rest of the group appeared shortly after and introductions were made, The rest of the group were related or at least knew each other..conditions dictated we have a coffee before launching, by the time we were just a few feet off the ground the the chemistry of balloon flight had us all talking and joking. The experience is truly magical. Thank You all.Lex Wade

From the very start the customer service we received was beyond amazing.

Hi, we are a family of 4 (2 Adults, 2 teens - 13 & 15). Please advise cost to go up on the balloon as well as do you fly during winter? We’re visiting week if 16th June 2023.

We are going on a family holiday to Mansfield and would like to go hot-air balloon. Can you please give me a price guide for 6 adults. We have a 5 mth pregnant women (by Dec) and is there any restriction on this? Any dress code pls?

Hi Sulaiman, thank you for your enquiry.
The flights are $340 per adult (or $300 for a child between 7-12) on a Saturday, or $320 ($280 for a child 7-12) on a Friday. We still have availability at the moment. Unfortunately we cannot fly pregnant passengers, but she can join on the retrieve, and of course join you for breakfast. If you would like to include breakfast at the Mansfield Coffee Merchant, it is an extra $25 for those who are flying, and $30 for any non-flying companions.
We can give you a 5% group discount on the flight price if you have 6 or more passengers.
As for the dress code, just dress comfortably, with enclosed shoes such as you would wear on a walk through the bush. Sneakers work really well. Check out the clothing and footwear page on our website for more information.
