What an interesting way to spend an afternoon guided through the streets of Lancefield by tour guide Julie. Julie brings the peculiar tales of Lancefield to life with her history tour with a twist walk around Lancefield. We started off at the Old Court House and ambled to the main street.
It's great to see local tourism initiatives in some of Australia's small rural towns too.
I thoroughly enjoyed her tour and got to hear some interesting stories along the way. I won't drive through Lancefield anymore without being reminded of some of the pioneers who called this town home. I also found the stories of some of the animals and creatures very interesting. I didn't realise snakes could be arrested and that local people had reported seeing bunyips.
I would recommend this easy walking tour for local person or visitor alike. I hope to book in for the Romsey and Kyneton tours soon!
