Rob was knowledgable and approachable, very friendly even when we met at the wrong meeting place initially! A geat historian/storyteller of local area. He helped set us and our kids (age 6 and 8) up on the bank of the Goulburn River with all necessary equipment including water. We spotted soaring eagles, cockatoos, a big male kangaroo, with fish surfacing along our river journey. We were the only humans along the river aside from the odd fishermen. Rob checked in along the way which was reassuring for our kids. Few hours away from humanity in idyllic part of the world was exactly what we needed. Returned to holiday accommodation feeling satisfied and a little weary!

What an amazing day! Just hubby and I. We paddled 15km with ease and saw some wonderful wildlife, we did not see another person except occasionally Rob, the tour guide, who parked periodically to check we were okay (i was a little nervous at times so was very reassured by this😀). The river was smooth and the kayak easy to manoeuvre. Will definitely do this again.

Rob and his team were so easy going. We were met at our campsite and we followed Brian to the bridge and swapped vehicles. Brian drive as up river for a choice of 10 or 14kms. Brian’s even stopped at a diary farm to show my city kids how they work. Kayaking down the river was so relaxing and easy! Kids were 10,11 and 14. They made so many comments as to how relaxing it was. We saw eagles, wallabies, fisherman, kingfishers, cockatoos. It was 2.5hrs, but we could have taken as long as we wanted. No pressure. Rob does camping tours overnight as well and I’d return to do that. I’m so glad the kids loved the trip.

We had a brilliant day on the Goulburn river in perfect weather conditions. Rob was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide who waited happily a good 30 mins for us to arrive! He then took us on a very informative drive past the most amazing red gum tree, the branches of which have now become roots! He dropped us up river and we spent a lazy, blissful 3 hours drifting (and occasionally gently paddling) downstream to where he was waiting to pick us up. We saw a sea eagle, lots of cockatoos and water birds, a wallaby and amazing root systems of the beautiful gums lining the shore.. Rob is a font of knowledge and this was such an easy and fun thing to do. We ate our lunch in our canoes against the bank because we’re women of a certain age who didn’t fancy getting our feet muddy! If you’re braver than us, though, wear some kind of footwear which is old and clings to your foot so you can get feet wet/muddy while still protecting them from sticks etc and then you'll be able to picnic ashore. In addition to the canoes and paddles, Rob supplied lifejackets and waterproof bags for our belongings, and even a bottle of water each. I think 3 hours is about the perfect amount of time...we wondered if it would be enough, but it was just right.

Had a great two hours paddling on the Goulburn in a double kayak supplied by Rob. Perfect time to do it. River in a great condition. Saw hawks, black wallaby, eagles, tortoise, fish, and the odd cockie or two (too many to mention!) Rob drove us out to the river, and we had a great chat on the way there and back. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. Loves his cricket too! Wonderful experience in a great part of the state. Thanks Rob for a really pleasurable morning. Tom and Julie
