Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having retired to South Gippsland last year, I regularly visit the beaches around Inverloch. The views across Anderson Inlet are amazing no matter what time of the year. From the awe inspiring storm clouds in mid winter to the balmy beautiful days of spring and summer the place always holds an irresistible appeal. The township of Inverloch has many fine eateries, my favourite being The Beach Box Cafe.
The area lends itself particularly to families with the many clean beaches and even an off leash area for dog lovers. For me, this place ticks all the boxes.

My wife and I walked around this place during our recent holiday in Inverloch when we stayed at RACV Resort for 2 nights.
Inverloch is just a small town with not many places to visit. This place is scenic to look at. We were here during off peak season and there were very few people around.
We will return next year for another visit as we find it very peaceful here.

I've been coming to Inverloch since I was born, so this is not an unbiased review. I find the beach sublime at the worst of times and ethereal at the best. There is nothing so good as to see the broad sweep of the beach as one climbs the hill in Inverloch, looking towards the Prom. The beach is moody and ever-changing which makes it interesting. Few visit in winter and this is when I like it most. There is nothing better than a long, isolated walk on the beach, and then a drink in the pub by the fire during winter. In summer it can be packed but the beach is big enough for us all and everyone to date has respected the place. Long may they do so. Take nothing but your rubbish and leave nothing but footprints and will remain a wonderful place for generations to come.

many people including myself travel abroad and ignore the wonderful attractions near by. I am lucky to live in a coastal town of INVERLOCH, while it may not be in the league of surfers paradise or manly in Sydney, it has the look and feel of unspoilt 1950.s. I don't mean its primitive but the pressure of high development has not yet engulfed the area. The yellow sandy beach is for swimming with several secluded areas protected by natural scrub, also there are areas for fishing, surfing, boating and just lying around sun bathing. The town itself is great having 2 pubs, several eateries and some specialist restaurants. For the younger at heart there is surf shops where you can hire stuff if you desire or purchase the most up to date equipment. As well as these things there is a native attraction in the centre of town bush walks and sports and fitness complex. No one could say there was a shortage of accommodation-- quality caravan park, cabins, bed 'n' breakfast, and holiday rental apartments and tenting. Some of these are expensive but i'm told not too nasty. Inverloch also has a separate commercial/industrial area where one can have your vehicle repaired or serviced, purchase wholesale fresh seafood, boat sales and service and a bunch of other things. Now I must point out that Inverloch is not just an area for holiday homes and day trippers, but a lovely sea side town with a tranquil ambience during the off season and then livens up from Christmas to Easter, but when ever you decide to visit it is worthwhile. As a local I am happy to make know to you readers that this town is great, and not everyone gets an opportunity to live in a peaceful zone such as ours. thanks, see ya soon.

Breathe in... breathe out .... it's perfect ... the day was sunny, a slight breeze.... the azure water contrasted and yet blended, with the beautiful sky. You can lose yourself looking out across Anderson Inlet... it's breathtakingly beautiful. And if you watch the water dance, you will notice the differences in it's surface ... as though a spell is being cast beneath that surface.

This is an easy, interesting and varied walk along the edge of the saltmarsh on Anderson Inlet, from Doyles Road Venus Bay, with excellent examples of unusual vegetation and opportunities to spot native flora and fauna at close range. It is a field naturalists paradise so make sure you bring your camera and binoculars. The trail passes through several different vegetation types, with wonderful views over the Inlet towards Inverloch. Echidnas, wombats, possums, swamp wallabies and blue-tongue lizards frequent the area and birds and butterflies are plentiful.

You lose yourself in the view of the water here as the water shimmers under a perfect summer's day... even if you were to walk further up the inlet where the water is out, there is something really special about being able to walk along the sands and enjoy the spectacular views on offer.
When I arrived there today there were oodles of people wandering along the paths and waterways and enjoying the perfect day. It is an amazing place to visit.

We went as the low tide going out. The weather was perfect we can even see Venus Bay from our side. Try to spot one tall tree (Pine tree) across the Inlett. You are seeing tree located on Venus Bay (as being told by local).
Water crystal clear we saw school of baby fish swimming on the edge of the water.
This is not for rock pool explorers but go to the jetty and you can see huge stingray living there.
And as usual the water is cold for nice swimming (for young children) but my children are happy wetting their feet.

Anderson Inlet is one of the most beautiful spots in Gippsland. The beach is very clean the water perfect for swimming, especially for little ones. It's very popular amongst fisherman, windsurfers, kitesurfings and stand up paddle boarders too. Something here for everyone...and if yiou want a surf beach it's only 5 mins drive up the road. Highly recommend for holidays or a weekend.

A signed walking trail follows the shoreline of Anderson Inlet and eventually joins the nature trails at Cape Liptrap Coastal Park. Diverse riparian vegetation, views of the inlet waterways and beautiful birds can be seen on this trail. You might be lucky to see White Bellied Sea Eagles, Wedge Tailed Eagles, Black Swans, Great Egret and other birds on this trail. The Anderson Inlet trail is 15mins walk from Venus Bay Eco Retreat; local maps and wildlife information are provided for eco retreat guests. Anderson Inlet walk is a sheltered trail and a good choice for a windy day, sunsets on the inlet are breathtakingly beautiful. Please visit with respect and take your rubbish with you. Visitor signs on this trail were developed in partnership with Venus Bay Eco Retreat, Parks Victoria and Friends of Venus Bay Peninsula Inc. Local volunteers help look after this trail by weed removal, rubbish removal and revegetation planting.
