My new man in my life wanted to share one of his favourite places on earth and took me to Shack Bay with a picnic basket, blanket and a cheeky smile. When someone knows a place so well that they tell you to stop at...More

Along the scenic coastal road from Inverloch to Cape Paterson are several points of interest. The big kahuna is Eagles Nest but there are others such as Flat Rocks, The Oaks, Twin Reefs and Shack Bay. Shack Bay has a small car park the entrance...More

Wouldn't mind a nice picnic here. The stairs are steep but coming down it's like your own private beach. When the tide is out, it's a great place to look in rockpools and collect some pretty unique shells.

Super view from the advantage points. The coastline is nothing short of sensational. The beach is also a real picture and of course a surfers paradise. The area is beautifully landscaped and parking is ample . Highly recommend this off road stopover.

A fabulous coast line. Every stop along this part of the coast is well worth stopping for, even though it was extremely windy on the day we were there.

Visited on Sunday 25th February. What a hidden gem, something we didn't expect to see when we went for a drive along this coastal road. Pity we didn't have more time to go down the stairs onto the beach and check out the rock pools....More

This place means so much to me. I always felt amazing here. My Grandfather would clear out a rock pool for me but leave a few cute little fishes for me. Taught me what a Blue Ring Octopus looked like. I have not been there...More

Today wasn't just any day. 😃 It was picnic "date" day and Shack Bay just never disappoints. Despite the chilly but sunny day, it was still perfect. The beach is small relatively private, secluded and a little piece of heaven .... as always. As you...More

Secluded and private little beach area accessed by what felt like 1000 steps down! Kids had fun looking at all the rock pools and watching the waves crash up over the rocks. Lots of interesting rock formations and areas safe for kids to climb. Make...More

There are some awesome little nooks and crannies all along this South Gippsland Coast Line. I love Shack Bay because it is very, very protected and 'cosy'. A lovely spot to quietly enjoy a bit of dip (safely) with tranquility and wonderful views
