About
Four Pillars Gin launched in 2013 and has since gone on to win an array of awards at home and around the globe. Our home in Healesville is where we make and experiment with gin, and where you have the option of trying and learning about gin in several different formats. Come and do a neat gin tasting or sip on a G&T paddle at your table, while taking in our German sister-stills Wilma, Jude, Beth and Coral. You’ll find any of our current and limited release bottles, you can experience one of our various masterclasses or just come and soak in our hospitality space while enjoying one of the gin cocktails from our frequently changing menu. Plus we have a number of delicious snacks made with our Made From Gin range. Find out more about which masterclasses and various other experiences are available via our website. We are currently undergoing a significant expansion to be approximately double the size, looking to open our new space in April 2022.

My Uncle is visiting from the USA, we both love Gin and the whole experience was fantastic! Ollie served us and explained all the gins and the different flavours coming through. Ollie continued to pop back to our table throughout the lunch and made us feel very special. We ordered the platter to share and it went perfectly with the gin paddles. Both of us loved the Navy strength Gin so we brought a bottle home with us to share. Truly a memorable experience for both of us and Ollie is a real asset to the business?

Thank you for bringing your uncle to visit us!
We are always so thrilled when friends and family from abroad come to the distillery as part of their trip to Australia (especially when local family are using them as an excuse to finally come!).
So pleased to hear that Ollie took such great care of you, explained all the gins, and made you feel special. Hopefully, you came away with a new favourite!
We hope to see you again soon when you next pop out to the Yarra Valley.

I didn’t really like gin before I experienced this fabulous tasting. Our taster explained the process and the elements that went into a good gin and I came out with two types of gin and a six pack. I thoroughly enjoyed our half an hour experience and would recommend a tasting even if you don’t think you like gin. I’m now converted to gin and tonic or ginger ale.

Friendly efficient front of house to greet and send us through to tastings. Offered seated 4 tastings on a paddle or the 5 standing with our own host to take us through the gins. He was good fun, extremely passionate about his products and obviously proud of what has been achieved (keep him on😊). We learnt about the founders, 9 botanicals and how each of the 5 gins differed in their alch% and flavour profiles. Superb ambiance in the tasting room. Popped next door afterwards for cocktails and delicious snacks. Highly recommend as an experience even if you are not that into gin. Good gins but the people made it a memorable visit, well done team

Travelling from Melbourne to Marysville, saw this just off the highway and being familiar with the brand, thought we’d pop in for a quick sticky beak.
Ended up staying for about hour, but all for good reasons!
The staff were amazing! So friendly, welcoming & warm. Every staff member we encountered was brilliant!
The gins were bloody good too!!
Took home a special edition Bloody Pinot & Sticky Carpet.
The food was delicious as well!! So many options, could have tried everything on the menu.
Whilst we not be back in this part of the world for some time, I’d highly recommend a visit.

Woah! Looks like that spur-of-the-moment decision to pull over paid off! We're thrilled you had an incredible time and we'll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team here.
Here's hoping that, when you do eventually get the chance to come back, you get to try the rest of Tuck Shop menu! The kitchen team are incredible and we're so fortunate to have them.
Enjoy your two new gins and see you again.

What a great day ! Every staff member was a positive ambassador for a great brand. Elizabeth lead me through 5 tastings and we explored several more . Nice to see the botanicals and production and to hear about new and future products. Absolutely love the limited edition Barrel aged Bloody Shiraz Yarra Yering ! And we left with 2 bottles . A couple other purchases will be displayed prominently at Victoria's Bistro in Oxford Michigan USA as part of the Gin collection.
Hope to return some day .

We're so thrilled you had such a wonderful time with Lizzie! They're a gem.
It always feels a little surreal that the Gin we make here in Healesville can be found overseas, so hearing that some will be sitting in Oxford Michigan USA blows our mind!
Thanks again for coming by and we hope you're able to make the trek back to us sometime again in the future.

Last destination part of wine trip we stopped at Four pillars. I'm not a frequent gin drinker but I love my gin.
Not disappointed with the tasting. We tried four different gins including Christmas gin which is soaked in Christmas pudding. My favourite is bloody Shiraz.
Must to do if you are doing yarra valley trip.
Highly recommended!!

We were given the master class to attend and it was excellent. Gin Lizzy gave 20 of us a run through of gin history and making and then it was into the gin tasting (have to go to know how to savour gin on the palate). The gin was lovely. Amazing the differences in the tastes. We were given a goodie bag at the end with a bottle of gin, some tonic and some marmalade made from waste from the gin production. A most sustainable distillery with very clever systems in place to minimise waste and preserve water and power. We then headed to the shop and bar. We were given a voucher for $25 off purchases in our show bag. They stored our purchases for us to collect later and we then enjoyed a cocktail and snacks in the restaurant. Great day and very special. All staff were fantastic. Great place to go.

We hope it's not too long before you can visit again!

Having not visited since Covid, it was time to set sail and experience the new and improved Four Pillars Distillery. And we weren't disappointed. Arriving mid arvo, we had no booking, but were warmly greeted at the door and found a table within five minutes. The interior is warm and welcoming, with staff ready to help you immediately. Whilst prices of wines, gins and cocktails are not at the cheap end, the number and responsiveness of staff is sensational. Gin Paddle (4 small tasting glasses of Gin) arrived within minutes of ordering, whilst the Cheese board and Marmalade glazed cashews and macadamias were in front of us within 10 minutes.
Sittings are set at approximately 90 minutes, which is more than enough time as you can always browse other areas of the Distillery and purchase a huge range of Gins in their store.
Four Pillars is a place you can visit again and again as the variety of food and drinks is extensive.
Will certainly return again, hopefully sooner than last time!

Does Four Pillars do food or is it just cheese platters to compliment the gins?
Written 25 August 2019
I only saw cheese platters, but there are some great food places in the Main Street. Maybe a five minute walk.

Big fan of your gins. Personal fav the Shiraz infused one.
Travelling to Melbourne and planning a visit to Yarra Valley in two weeks time. Wanted to check is there any tours that you recommend that makes a stop at your distillery?
Would love to see the place.

Check Yarra Valley Transfers out!!
Highly recommended - they will create a tour to your preferences. Used twice and both were outstanding. Last time we did Four Pillars - so many gins to try and special cellar door only Shiraz you might be lucky to still bag one. Enjoy!

Are there tours you can take of the distillery? Thanks!
Written 11 April 2019
Hi Grainne
There are no tours but part of the distillery is where you sample and are given a brief on each ones ingredients as part of a private tasting group. This is at a cost of $10 per person After that you have the option of purchasing what you have just tasted in there gift shop.

Do I have to make a booking or can you just turn up?
Written 8 December 2018
No need to book unless you're looking to do one of the occasional masterclasses, or if you're going to be in a group of 9 or more...in which case you have to book!
