Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the TarraWarra Art Museum today and it was awesome. Only $10 per person to enter and the exhibited works were excellent, both confronting and thought provoking. The Art museum is adjacent to the TarraWarra Estate Cellar Door which wasn’t obvious when looking up the places. After finishing in the art gallery we grabbed a coffee and admired the scenery outside which is stunning. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful art and museum. Did the wine tasting and ended up buying big. Some nice drops. Make sure you check out the building as you leave on the right. Go inside and take the lift! Didn’t end up eating but menu looked good.

Even on a rainy day it was worth a visit. Exhibition was expansive.
The food and wine at the restaurant were both excellent.
Special mention to the sandalwood nuts in the zucchini entree and the frozen ruby grapefruit jewels in the dessert. Yum.

The TarraWarra museum is a superb location for lovers of fine Art. The restaurant, Gallery shop and winery make it the perfect destination for visitors to the Yarra Valley.
The most recent exhibition curated by Anthony Fitzpatrick is a highlight in this years calendar.

Well worth a visit if you are in the Yarra Valley area. The architecture of the building ensures that it melds into the surroundings - love the rammed earth walls.
The exhibitions this month were interesting and thought provoking, would definitely return for future visits

Thank you for your review of the museum.
We're glad you loved the rammed earth walls. The earth comes locally from Yea, and works so well in the landscape.

What a blessing, amazing art coupled with the magnificent Yarra Valley scenery. A lovely drive with modern art at the end of the journey.
If you can't get a seat at the Gallery's Resturant, Healsville is only just down the road.

I've been fortunate enough to visit TarraWarra on a number of occasions, all for different reasons.
Once was with a school group for an Alice in Wonderland exhibition. Great. The guide who took us around pitched her speel to the primary aged kids well.
The second time I went there was to really check out the rammed earth construction as at the time I was considering building a rammed earth home (still would if I had the time). The building is stunning. I mean really stunning. The layout, the architecture, the light, the texture - everything is well done here.
The rolling lawns and sunny day had my 3 kids running and dancing in and around the buildings. Then they started to roll down the soft green hills. Which then had other kids joining in. Laughter and giggles and not a frown from any of the staff. Sigh!
The third time I went there was for afternoon tea. It's expensive. But it was delicious. And it was packed (Sunday afternoon).
The buildings and grounds are worthwhile exploring. Excellent place to take any international or interstate visitors. It just has the most delicious feel about it. Relaxed, fun, easy going, with a touch of funky and snobbery as well.
When good exhibitions are on, expect crowds. Lots of them. You'll need to follow the parking attendants so that everyone can fit in. It becomes overcrowded and as I hate crowds, I try and visit when things not so hectic.

They have done a great job of organising this very popular exhibition. Tickets are timed entry and there are stalls with casual food, ice cream and of course wine! Lots of seating, extra bathroom facilities and a courtesy bus for those that can’t manage the walk up the hill from the car park.
We really enjoyed our visit. The portraits are stunning and the audio guide very interesting. My only issue was the location of 2 very popular pieces placed together at the entrance.
