Visited this park early morning and was very disappointed to see so much litter amongst the native vegetation and beautiful bird life. The view from the reservoir wall is lovely. There was recent storm damage and understandable that some clean up is ongoing but a regular sweep of the park to collect the litter, mainly alcohol cans, would go a... More

This is a beautiful place to come for a walk. We also all get together and have BBQs here with family. Unfortunately when the big storms came through in October a lot of the big old trees fell down. While on holidays a few weeks ago we went there to let the kids play in the creek but couldnt get... More

My partner and I came here the other day and went for a little walk to see the dam and we loved all the trees and how the area is really leafy green :)

Large park with loads of walks. Historic area with lots of interesting features. Great for families and dogs are welcome. Well maintained and the views from the dam walls are spectacular.

Originally planned to walk Badger Weir but upon arriving found the walk closed due to recent storm damage. Drive to Maroondah and got some great camera shots on top of the dam but all the surrounding walks were also closed which was disappointing. Make sure you check before driving out here that the walks are open.

This park is below the dam wall. When we visited, we found a little water that trickles out down a tiny stream through the centre of the park, though I understand that sometimes a lot of water comes down the spillway if the dam is over-full. We visited this park for a picnic lunch and enjoyed the big old shady... More

Great place for a picnic. Big walk up old blue stone steps to top of dam . We then walked along the top . Very picturesque and some great photo opportunities.

Built in a time when the MMBW (Melbourne Metro Board of Works) had a huge budget and created such lovely spaces this park beckons you for a family picnic, I've stopped here numerous times for a break when riding my bike through, if you haven't been, then its about time.

We visited on 6th December. Apparently there was a storms which took some trees down a month before. Therefore there was some damage and trails blocked by fallen trees. We couldn't access the pergola contain local maps. The place looked a little unkempt and there was no easy access to the reservoir.
