Fantastic little shop that stocks all the essentials for hikers of all levels, with a highly knowledgeable staff that offered us great insights and advice about the many trail systems around Halls Gap.
We took off shortly before sunrise for a hike to Boronia Peak lookout - a moderate 90 minute hike with an amazing and rewarding experience at the summit, as the sun rose over the valley and filled it with liquid gold below us. Unforgettable.
Leif was an absolutely fantastic guide for a canoeing excursion across Lake Bellfield!! He was so informative, energetic, educational and responsive to all of our requests & questions - he made the entire experience an absolute joy - we can't recommend him enough!

2 Parents in 50’s plus one 14 year old Son really enjoyed the adventure. Given we were novices we were tested initially on a relatively small descent and with plenty of encouragement and advice from Tom our instructor we all made it down without much issue... twice. We were then brought to a second location to test our skills on a much longer descent but again with Tom’s instruction we also managed to conquer our fear and all loved the experience. The trek to the top was a bit of a challenge but the views were well worth it. The 3 hours we booked was ample time to enjoy multiple descents and highly recommend it as a great way to have outdoor fun with exercise and adrenaline thrills.

Great staff from booking in store on the main halls gap shopping strip to the great climb with Leif. Two kids (9 & 12) who had never abseiled before and we all climbed, abseiled and enjoyed Leif’s singing. Lovely to have just the 4 of us, felt really safe, had fun and the views were amazing.

We spent 4 days in the Grampians region where we did various dining, tours, sight seeing and walks. Our half day abseiling experience with Absolute Outdoors was by far our favorite and most memorable moment of the entire trip. Our guide Adrian was knowledgeable, friendly and real chill. Although we were nervous (first time abseiling), Adrian made us feel completely comfortable to overcome our fears. A huge bonus was that we were traveling well with time so Adrian switched up the lines and allowed us to get a little rock climbing experience in. It really made our day! When we visit the region again, we will definitely return to Absolute Outdoors.

As a solo traveller I enjoyed a relaxing and highly enjoyable Saturday afternoon kayaking on Lake Fyans. There were five in our group and I paired with our guide Kate who was knowledgeable, patient and engaging. A keen bird watcher I really enjoyed Lake Fyans for the diverse bird species we found and overall the lake provided an excellent opportunity to enjoy another resource in The Grampians region.

We took our 3 kids aged 16, 14 & 8 rock climbing with Leif.
It was incredible!
Leif was so encouraging and explained the climbs to suit each age group perfectly!
I highly recommend Absolute Outdoors - especially Leif- to any ages/gender/experience level.

Rock-climbing with Tom was incredible. As absolute beginners, Tom quickly made us feel safe & capable while also allowing us to challenge ourselves and our abilities. We can't speak highly enough of the experience!

I would strongly recommend Absolute Outdoors. I organized for myself and 4 teenage boys to go canoeing and rock climbing/abseiling with Absolute Outdoors. Joel was the guide for both of these activities and he was friendly, calm and a great instructor. Strong winds made the canoeing more difficult than expected but Joel handled the situation very well and a bit of adversity makes the activity more memorable. Joel was a great instructor for the abseiling and rock climbing. He worked well with the teenagers and inspired confidence in one of our climbers who was afraid of heights.

I helped Joel collect come of the canoes after your session and he said you all did great to battle the wind.
I’m glad you all felt safe and the climbing was a great success, it’s such a challenging activity for those afraid of heights but it also deliver such value for them. A great way to push personal boundaries while in a safe and controlled environment.

We were fortunate enough to go on a abseiling adventure with Absolute Outdoors. From the very start it was fantastic. We were me by our guides Tom and Jarred who explained everything really clearly to us and made sure we completely understood all the safety instructions. The small group size meant we got heaps of individual attention which made me feel really safe. I am 52 years old and my husband is 64, the last (and only other) time that I went abseiling was on a school camp in the 1980's.
To say I was scared would be an understatement. Tom was amazing, his patience, understanding and quiet confidence, allowed me to get out on the edge and have the time of my life. I would definitely recommend this adventure to anyone who wants to push themselves, in a safe and supportive environment.
And the view from the top is amazing !!!!!!!!

As rock climbing first timers, my beautiful girlfriend had purchased this experience for my birthday. When it rained on the morning we both saw the opportunity literally slipping away. But Amy contacted us and went far and beyond to ensure we still had an adventure that day which impressed us both. Amy provided clear instruction, enough guidance to feel safe and enough space to gain confidence in our own time. Clearly a talented guide and we can’t speak highly enough of Amy.

According to your website all your family absaling tours are booked until after Xmas is this right, we are bringing the grandkids to the Grampians in Dec and would love to do this if possible. Thanks
