Best private zoo I have ever seen. Such diversity of animals including amazing red panda, lemur, hog deer. Quite superb . And so we’ll presented and maintained. Am absolute must.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 July 2023
- davidp482017Melbourne, Australia56 contributionsLovely Zoo with a Country FeelA really lovely rustic, natural, country zoo. We enjoyed strolling around looking at and sometimes being actually with the large variety of animals. We opted for the Meerkat experience which was a great way to learn about these amusing little guys - as long as you have food they love you. The staff were helpful and informative. We went as a couple midweek but are sure that kids would love getting up close to so many animals. Drop in if you love animals.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 August 2023
- Antony B21 contributionsBest zoo in VictoriaEven though the collection of animals are not as extensive as the bigger zoos, this zoo makes up for it by having very personal experience with free roaming animals, birds and closer view to larger animals such as rhinos, ostrich, emu etc. Also there is an aviary in birds section where they have parrots and cockatoos that can talk. 😆Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 September 2023

The Best Little Zoo. Lots of Australian native animals as well as more exotic species, cheetahs, Texas longhorns, hippos, very cute capucins and tamarins. ... up close dingos, in your face deer (hold your animal food bags up high!). Super friendly staff.

The best zoo I've ever been too! Happy animals, great set up, stunning location and friendly staff. I recommend taking a trip here with or without kids it's a great day out. If you do have kids they have a great playground too so you'll get rid of any energy they have left! Make sure you book in for a meerkat experience in advance, worth every cent!

Had a wonderful time at Halls Gap Zoo. Plenty of animals to see and zoo is very well kept. What made the day great was that we did an animal experience with the Red Panda. This was just awesome and well worth the money spent.

This is a very good small zoo. Able to walk around it easily. Lots of seats to rest and enjoy watching the animals. Very friendly staff and dears who like to follow you around.

Do you have to make a booking in advance for an dingo or wombat encounter? Or is it possible to book when we arrive at the desk?
How much does it cost to enter the zoo? I can't seem to find their pricing!
