Family fun, plenty of parking, great time with the family in the outdoors. Opportunity to feed the animals and have a picnic lunch. Grab your animal food for $2 on the way in - we spent 1.5 hours enjoying the day, arriving at 10:30am - a lot of people arriving when we were leaving. Highly recommend.

Lovely 3 hours spent strolling around after delightful Meerkat encounter. Animal encounters book out so book well in advance if you know you're going. Quite a few animals not seen in other Victoria zoos are here. Drinks/icecream available but no food other than bags of pallets to buy and feed animals with.

Took our 2 boys aged 5 & 7 and they both loved every minute of it. We bought a few bags of food $2 each to feed the animals while walking around and the kids were so excited to be able to hand feed the animals. We spent 2 hours there which is enough time to see everything. Not to busy given it was school holiday time. Best to take some drinks and snacks with you as there is no cafe. The gift shop is full of choices and the prices very good considering it is a zoo. Highly recommend this place for families.

Our favourite experience was the meerkat encounter! It was totally amazing to have these cute little creatures scurry all over you in the search of food and then eat out of your hands. I would do this again in a heartbeat!
We loved the whole zoo and were impressed with the variety of animals as well as the enclosures. We could tell they are constantly working on improving the zoo and give the animals the best enclosure possible. Hats off to you all!
Aiming to visit more often.....

Animals are seen from very close which was good but the place needs water stations available as the walk is very long around the circuit.

Some of the animals were clearly stressed out in particular The Rhino for one.
The prices for souvenirs were so high you would need a loan to buy them
The staff weren't interested in concerns of the public like asking them where the Giraffe enclose was who was also very agitated.
Entry at the time was far too high for location and what you get, don't forget, most of this Zoo is publicly and government funded.
When yo walk around, take note of the animals, have any been sedated?
Not all reviews should be positive, just an opinion based on observation and experience.

We were staying nearby and decided to stop by. Whilst there is opportunity to improve some of the exhibits we were surprised by the vast array of animals. Some of the birds were really amazing. And we laughed as the free flying cockatoos stirred up their family members in captivity. This privately owned zoo needs support to make up for COVID and it was a great way to spend a few hours. I also loved the red pandas.

A great place to see an assortment of animals. We could have spent more time here but the weather forced us to leave early.
The deer were charming until one started to chew on my coat which I was wearing at the time! My husband had to extract it from the deer’s mouth with great difficulty. A funnny yet scary moment.
We booked a Meerkat Encounter and had a lovely time feeding them. Only disappointing thing was the photos taken by zoo staff weren’t as good as we expected. We thought we’d get better ones for the price we paid. Next time we’ll take our own photos.
We intend to return in future and highly recommend this place especially for families.

Do you have to make a booking in advance for an dingo or wombat encounter? Or is it possible to book when we arrive at the desk?
How much does it cost to enter the zoo? I can't seem to find their pricing!
