Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went looking for info on hiking the 3 Peaks trail during a time of high bushfire risk. The woman at the info desk wasn’t able to provide the sort of info I needed to make a well-informed decision. Fair enough, perhaps not her field of expertise, but she also wasn’t willing to find a ranger for me to talk to instead (“they have better things to do”). I left feeling frustrated. Fell short of the friendly and knowledgeable service I’ve encountered at other national park visitor centres in Australia.

Went with my wife, we walked around before entering the shop.
While there not one person came up and helped. One lady was sitting on a chair the other on the phone.
We were going to make some purchases.
We walked and thought that we would have a coffee. Shebwas friendly NOT we were waiting at the counter and she kept walked passed and when she finally served us needed extra clothing fr9m the warmth coming from her.
This place needs to hire people that like helping people and not just a pay packet.
Don't think I will be back again.

Main cultural centre still closed, doesn’t look like it will be opening any time soon. Cafe also closed. Small gift shop and toilets open.
Pity as would have loved to learn more about the Aboriginal heritage of the area. A few information boards there though.

My wife and I had visited this place 10 years ago and it was nice back then, so we decided to visit again as the holiday Villa that we stayed in for 3 nights during our recent holiday, was near this place.
This place looks badly maintained and a bit shabby. We walked out of the building and walked along the 3 walking trails, including the Fyans Creek loop walk which is a few kilometres.
During that long walk, we saw a few kangaroos and kookaburras. That was nice to see.

I’d visited Halls Gap hundreds of times in the past but never stopped to visit Brambuk Aboriginal Centre. OMG what a place! Nestled into the base of the Grampians, the Centre is eye catching in design. An impressive building greets visitors and it was here we were told there was no admittance charge. After a look around souvenirs on sale we walked through the back door to a gorgeous featuring native gardens, fire pit and information display boards. A stroll through the gardens leads to the Aboriginal centre. Beautifully designed the centre has a massive stone open fire that greets guests. Displays are scattered throughout the centre providing pictorial and written information about Australia’s first inhabitants. There’s a small theatre for those wanting a visual history or you can try your hand at painting a boomerang for a small cost.
I still can’t believe a place like this is free.

We had not been to Brambuk for a number of years and were very surprised at the condition of the centre and the surrounding grounds. It was so run down compared to how it had looked, particularly the grounds. What's happened?? And it's not just the drought.

The centre’s architecture and layout are very interesting. We watched two very different films ($) that provided a background to the rest of the exhibitions and the history of the Grampians.

We were amazed at the wonderful architecture and how it enhances its surrounding environment.
The cultural centre was informative and had some of the best indigenous artefacts we have seen previously.
The information centre is a good place to start your trip as they have lots of area maps, important information and tours if you want to get to places without a 4 wheel drive.
The Grampians are a very unique part of Australian indigenous history and geologically too. 3 days were way too brief so we will be back. An easy 3hour drive from Melbourne.
