Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bouquets to our guide extraordinaire, Steve. Proud and passionate Frankston historian and preserver of local indigenous lore, lover of the arts, actor, and on this April morning, honouring his family heritage, steeped in the ANZAC tradition.
Steve delighted in leading this wonderful tour, his careful research of all artists and each street artwork evident in his clear and knowledgeable delivery, crafting it individually and engaging his audience. The skills frequently handed down to the next generation, this walker certainly has a new appreciation of Street Art and the culture it plays.
Accolades to the local council and businesses in funding renowned artists in making Frankston a hub to street art.
The excellent coffee was an added bonus to this tour!
With thanks

My wife and I went on the tour guided by Sue. We were extremely fortunate to see several artists developing their works. The tour was so inspiring that we have decided to organise a tour with our walking group.
I can recommend this tour to anyone who likes art or anyone who can appreciate the importance of making a city interesting.

Have lived around the area for years but this was a first. Really enjoyable and interesting. There is no need to take the monthly organised walking tour as you can do a self guided walk easily by getting a map at the Library (the starting point) in Playne Street or downloading the inormation from the council website.
Currently there are over 20 pieces of art displayed on walls in the laneways and backstreets around the Frankston CBD. There are plans to increase this number in 2020.
As with all art, some will impress or please you more than others. My personal favorites were Brigitte Dawson & Melissa Turner's "Alice in Wonderland and Nutcracker" outside the library; again, Brigitte & Melissa's work entitled "All the Green Year" in Thompson Lane; Lucy Bonnin's "Mary Jayne" in Gallery Lane and Loretta Lizzio's "As She Lay" in Stiebel Place.
With initiatives such as this, Franganistan is really on the improve.

There are some very talented street artists works to be viewed on this terrific walking tour through the laneways and streets of Frankston. All within a comfortable distance starting from the Frankston Library. Be guided by very knowledgeable tour guides who explain information on each art work and the artists. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the street art scene.

A fantastic tour! High quality murals in tucked away laneways, best seen with a local expert like Steve. We are a tour guide industry group (Tour Guides Australia) and were amazed at the variety of artworks. Steve's in depth knowledge of the artists and inspiration for the artworks really added to our knowledge and appreciation of this new and exciting perspective of Frankston. Thanks very much Steve.

What a fabulous tour! Steve our guide was such a delight - clearly passionate about art & Frankston, really knowledgeable, very engaging & such a friendly person - he really made our experience special. The artwork is fantastic and I can't believe how many there are (& that I've not noticed them!). Absolutely recommend the Friday night tour too.

An amazing experience not to be missed. Steve was so knowledgeable and passionate about the art, art history, the artists and the area. He took the time to explain about techniques used, the history of the area and the artists and the cultural importance of the traditional custodians of the land. He encouraged our teenage artist and was able to talk through some.of the logistics overcome by artists as he's been there through the creation of some of the pieces. 5 star. Team it with the cupcakes or the food option to end your tour with space to sit and reflect on which pieces you will go back to. While touring a family interrupted to tell Steve he had so inspired their son that their son was taking them on the self guided tour. The website offers a self guided tour but really Steve makes the experience priceless.

WOW THANKYOU STEVE!!! 💖 🏦 🎨 We definitely would recommend taking a Frankston street art tour, (Very informative & knowledgeable.) It's a wonderful & inspiring way to spend time in your day 🕰⏲ . The artworks visually communicate what words can-not say. We found the tour to be highly stimulating, fun, & creative. We walked away with Smiles on our Faces & a Love of street art in our Hearts - along with an appreciation for the talented artists, who have magically brightened the buildings, laneways, walls & streets of Frankston. Thanks again to our tour guide Steve, (sweet treats & warm cuppa's) we hope to return another time. Fantastic memories shared. 💜💥🌏

The Frankston Street Art walking tour was fantastic. It was the second year in a row I have been on the tour during the Big Picture Festival. Steve the tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and you could feel his passion for what he was explaining. He also helped me navigate my daughters pram up and down footpaths. We can see the art any time but to really understand it you need to take a walking tour.

Did a walking tour of Frankston’s street art in the rain, mostly by torchlight; barely noticed the weather and the 1.5 hours passed by very quickly. Umbrellas were provided and got to see some amazing street art that I never knew existed, despite being a local. A hot beverage was provided by a welcoming local cafe. Rosemary, our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and caring. Would highly recommend this tour.
