About
This is single vineyard wine at its best! Nazaaray Estate Winery is Mornington Peninsula's southernmost vineyard, set on 50 acres in Flinders with sweeping views, wildlife and superb sunsets. Its location and orientation encourages a long, slow ripening season which produces exceptional high quality fruit, perfect for producing sensational wines. Here grapes are handpicked and wine made in small batches. Wine is made onsite, so the grapes are in perfect condition when they reach the winery immediately after picking. Hidden rustic gem! A cellar door experience unlike any other! Indeed, Nazaaray is like the 'secret laneways' of the Peninsula... everyone knows the big players but here there is the excitement of your own special find tucked away. Wines are available for tasting in the cellar door or on the viewing deck overlooking the estate where kangaroos often bound through the paddocks. Two vintage 1930s train carriages add a whimsical note. Meet the winemaker, Param, and let him guide you through his latest releases: Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. The Nazaaray Estate team loves to prove that Indian food does match with wine. They serve reasonably priced mod Indian warm snacks with a glass of wine. Their bi-monthly Sunday Tiffin lunches are also not to be missed. Bookings essential.

What a unique Winery! This place brings two of our favourite things together...Wine and Indian food!
Service was excellent, we did the tastings plus the platter of Indian entrees, $30pp...but the wonderful thing is the $10 tasting fee goes towards protecting Bengal Tigers!
The wines were lovely, especially the reds..Pinot Noir 2016 and 2017 were excellent!
The lamb sheek kebab was the best we've ever had and we've eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants all over the world! All the food was fresh!
They made a fuss over our daughter too!
Lovely setting and grounds for the kids to run around in.
We'll be back! Thanks for a memorable visit.

Writing a critique of a winery is very subjective as far as the quality of the wine. Having said that my wife and I have been to this winery twice in the last two weeks and highly recommend. For us we both enjoyed the Pinot, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris available for tasting. This is one of those boutique wineries hidden away in the Mornington Peninsula and is a real gem. As mentioned, the wines certainly hit the spot for us but what really won us were the staff who were friendly and so passionate about the wines produced. Paramdeep the wine make is just as passionate about his wine and deservedly so. There is a lovely undercover dining area which for us during Summer was perfect. On our second visit we sampled the Indian platter which was a perfect accompaniment to the wine. Would highly recommend and have no hesitation is returning again and again. Thanks Paramdeep et. al.

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful wine tasting then lunch at Nazaaray winery last Sunday. Our outdoor table was perfect with the tasting brought out to us, then the delicious Indian delicacies. We intend to return!

We attended the Tiffin buffet lunch last Sunday and whilst the various styles of Pinot wines were enjoyable the fact that one could only taste one variant as part of the lunch package and all other wines had to be purchased, was disappointing. Also, whilst the buffet was extensive and generous, the spice levels were very mild which again was disappointing. The Bollywood dance session was well done and very entertaining, but at an overall cost of $80 per head we left under-impressed. The wines are good though!

The Mornington Peninsula has some great Pinot Noirs and this place is no exception. They do a number of different PN blends, and I'd recommend buying a selection because they are quite distinct from one another.

Pretty little place, such a shame there was no nibbles. Apparently the Bollywood tiffin luncheon will be a better time to visit

Called in on a Friday afternoon. Met by a young man who showed us in to the tasting cellar. Only a couple of wines for tasting available and there wasn't a lot of information given. He wasn't particularly enthusiastic like most people at wineries. Maybe we caught him at the wrong time as he did look a bit surprised to see anybody. The place is a bit quirky with railway carriages (presumably for accommodation) around the cellar door. The view looked quite good but we were in and out in very short order.Bought a bottle of wine to have back in our Melbourne accommodation - it was okay but we bought it untasted as it wasn't on the tasting list. Overall can see it could be worth a visit as it's more of a small boutique operation and we could meet the wine maker/owner. Perhaps a cooling cabinet with some cheeses, meats, pickles and so on would be a good addition to encourage people to have a small platter with a bottle of wine so they could make an afternoon of it?

Hi Grant,
You came on a day when we are not open for cellar door tastings. You were attended to by one of the vineyard workers who would not have known what to do! Do come on one of our regular open days (Saturday to Monday)

Visit and meet Sue. She is very friendly and knowleglable of the vineyard. Have 2 glasses and stay in the train carriages overnight. Worth a visit. Would have been a 5 if a basic cheese plate or bag of chips was available.

This place has everything! Beautiful landscape, animals, and facilities. The wine is world class and you can taste that it has been expertly crafted by people who are passionate about what they do. Above all of these amazing things, the customer services is second to none. Sue showed us around the property, and instantly made us feel like old friends.

Hi,
We have quarterly events where we serve a buffet lunch. The next one is on the 7th October.
On most normal weekends we will do you platters for two if you have prebooked them. If you are adventurous you may be pleasantly surprised.
Cheers,
Param & Nirmal
