This state park in Hamblen county, East Tennessee is a very nice small park with a campground, picnic facilities, beautiful views of Cherokee Lake and several walking/hiking trails.

It is a great place to camp. Very quiet and peaceful. Fishing available in the creek and in the lake close by. We come up quite often

Great hiking, swimming, trail running, disc golf, bird watching, picnicking, canoeing, boat launch, fishing, etc. Also has charcoal grills, playground, creek to play in, and a campground with utilities.

This park is a great place for a short half-day hike that won't require the longer drives to Great Smoky Mountains N.P. Of course, the views on the hikes aren't nearly as spectacular as those in GSMNP, but they are close by, and very easy...More

The views and picnic tables are the main attractions. There are plenty of informational signs to tell you what you are looking at. Only down side is that it is a long drive through residential territory that does not look good.
