A family owned and run artisanal distillery, Bass & Flinders was founded in 2009 and is located in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula. Proudly handcrafting their own grape-based spirit which is used across their range of vine to bottle products including award winning gins, brandies, spirits and liqueurs. Pioneers of the Gin Masterclass in Australia, Bass & Flinders conduct one of the most unique gin masterclass experiences where guests have the opportunity to create their very own bespoke gin. Opening Hours: Cellar Door open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11am - 5pm as well as public holidays. Extended hours over summer

I’m not a gin drinker but really enjoyed this and thoroughly recommend. The distillery and tasting area especially is really nice, we sat outside with our dog on a chilly day in the sun and had tasting paddles , also bought nice gift for a friend

We visited on a day when the cellar door wasn’t really open - but the chap served us some tastings anyway.
The cocktail was delicious, the brandy also. The Angry Ant gin you have to try - it’s amazing and original. We left with a sampler box of gins to return when the cellar door is open. Would recommend. Especially because these gins are made from grapes!
Apparently they do some food too when open.

Erin was an amazing guide…only wish we didn’t have to drive!!! Making our own bottle of gin to take home was an added bonus 👍🏻

Absolutely worst experience we have had. 7 patrons booked a tasting session but were met with rude door guy who could not comprehend that some visitors were not from Melbourne and did not have Vic Covid passes.

Great atmosphere. Gin tasting was first rate and the staff were eager to please and teach. Prices for the Gin were very reasonable considering there quality.

Visited 5 years again when this business was just starting had a great time the staff and the gin was excellent. now big capital upgrade to the site and unfortunately the service and ambiance has gone in the wrong direction. Save your money go to Jimmyrum around the corner sit outside and have some seafood and more importantly a better time

Arrogant attitude with regards to check in. Wouldn’t accept vaccination certificates from NSW. We had a confirmed booking for 22 people and the man at the door was so rude about it all that we all walked away. It was the one place we were all looking forward to going to and he spoilt. Everyone one of us is legitimately vaccinated not only 2 but 3 doses. We took our money to Two Bays Brewing. Their loss. Very disappointed!

We attended a Gin Makers Masterclass.
It was a wonderful experience. It was an intimate environment, well prepared & with expert instruction. We even got to take our gin home.
