This was our second visit to Trofeo Winery. We are a group of friends that meet every month and visit different wineries on the Mornington Peninsula. Each of us get the opportunity to chose one new experience each month.
On this occasion it was a second visit . We decided to revisit Trofeo as we had enjoyed the the food and menu on our last visit.
Let me say, what a disappointment. Our friend, who had undertaken to do the booking had asked for a menu to be forwarded prior to our booking but it was never received. What we were served, were "tasting plates"of not enough food to feed one person. Now, I understand that Tasting plate means that you get to "sample" various foods, but when you go to lunch feeling hungry in the company of men who are looking forward to a nice lunch and you get charged a hefty
$85 per head for barely an entree size plate of food.....what can I say. Had we been sent the menu in advance as requested, we would not have gone through with the booking.
Not only was the service inadequate, when the waiter rolls his eyes every time we requested something, not only did we leave hungry but we felt duped. I understand that Covid has put pressure on the hospitality industry, and they are trying to recoup their losses, but surely that does not excuse rip off .
We will certainly not be returning to Trofeo, that is for sure.

Beautiful winery but extremely disappointing and extortionate
We are members of 2 wineries on the peninsula so thought we would try a different one .
We had a booked the wine tasting and garden menu
We had a very rushed wine tasting and then went onto the garden:(
We purchased two bottles of wine at the wine tasting.$90
The man in the restaurant didn’t have our booking I had to show it to him an email confirmation.
We went into the garden an the man said unfortunately we only have THIS table .. I had booked so didn’t understand this comment .. there was even bird POO on the table !! They did come and clean it up !
We ordered a bottle of Rose which was $30 more than at cellar door
Olives ,salad and cheese board $162!!!!
Cheese board was delicious but extremely disappointing as the 3 portions of cheese were tiny . When the salad was delivered to the table the waiter said “and if you want plates they are over there” !! I was shocked .
He had already seen that my husband had a broken ankle.
Not sure we will be back in a hurry .
I do understand there were people off sick and it was busy but this reason was still no excuse for the way we were treated today at a winery 13minutes from our house .

It’s hard to find a winery and restaurant on the peninsula that delivers first class food and wine where you don’t have to sell your child to pay for the bill. Trofeo is the one exception . Loved it! Great service. Wine not over priced. Wonderful food and a lovely friendly vibe.

We booked based on positive reviews I had seen of the restaurant. The evening was a birthday dinner for our daughter and her husband.
The staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. The Trofeo Estate wines were able to be tasted at the table before ordering and they were exceptionally good. The sparkling as well as the Pinot Noir were very good.
A definite 5 stars for this restaurant.

Really disappointed in the team last week. My daughter called in to buy wine as gifts as part of a shopping local endeavour to support the Peninsula and was majorly overcharged for the wine like at least $70 dollars over.
After thinking for an hour or so what to do and feeling very embarrassed, she returned to let them know and felt like she was a major Inconvenience and rudely passed between staff who clearly did not know what they were doing. No apology no humble/thankful attitude so they’ve now lost some strong local supporters😞

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Trufeo restaurant on 14 February. Prior to eating we enjoyed wine tasting at the cellar door, which was a good introduction to Trufeo wines matched to the menu. The food was magnificent and well presented as was the wine. The wait staff were knowledgeable and helpful and the chef came out from the kitchen to speak to diners at each table. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Superb find in Dromana, beautiful tree lined drive to the restaurant & cellar door housed in what was an old cordial factory. Well thought out set menu - we dined on a Thursday - great service - we really enjoyed everything & will be back. NB it is a little cold inside but the yummy food & superb Rose take your mind & the chill off

Attended the Seafood Feast last night (29 Feb) with the matching wine option and absolutely loved it. The menu selection was varied and plentiful.

Looking forward to the next one!

Had an absolutely amazing day with our family yesterday!
9 adults and 2 little bubs and we were looked after amazingly.
The food was out of this world and the wines aged in terracotta amphorae's were so delicious.
If you're in Mornington this is an absolute MUST VISIT PLACE!

Visited on a perfect spring day in Victoria! Natalie helped us choose some sensational wines and we stayed on for a delicious lunch. Wines are preservative free and stored in terracotta and you really do notice it when you drink the wine, it’s so easy on the palate. Gorgeous gardens and restaurant help create a perfect dining/ lunch experience.
