The Cobden Miniature Railway and Mini Golf Park has been established for over 15 years. Site works commenced in February 1994 and the Park was officially opened in June 1994 for its first public run.It is on the old Cobden Racecourse reserve, and parts of the old running rail from the racecourse can still be seen.Much of the original racecourse is now occupied by public activities - the Cobden Miniature Railway and Mini Golf Park, the Cobden Pioneer Dairy Park which is also home to the Cobden Historical Society, the Cobden Go-Kart Club, the South Western Restoration Restoration Group, and the Cobden Airport. Cobden Miniature Railway Park provides miniature train rides, 18 hole Mini Golf, canteen, children's playground and barbecue facilities. The Park is open to the general public on the third Sunday of every month, as well as all Sundays during school holidays. Please note that the Park is not open on Sundays of long weekends unless these fall in school holidays. Opening hours are from 11am to 4pm. Train rides last approximately 10 minutes, leaving as required, and cost $2.50 each for adults and children over 2 years old. Total track length is approximately 1.8km and includes an under and over pass, trestle bridge, two tunnels and two stations.

Grand Children Loved This

It was delightful watching my grand children delight in some good old fashioned fun. Just like we once did as children.

We made a detour through Cobden on our way down to Port Fairy. We had heard a lot about the trains but our experience exceeded all expectations. This was fun at it's best for the entire family. The scenic backdrop and both the quality and length of the track are a credit to volunteers that operate this.
