We were lucky enough to encounter 3 rock wallabies bouncing around the top of the mount and this combined with the spectacular view made it a special moment. We'd come the longer way around the mountain on the dirt roads from the Yeddonba Aboriginal site...More
It’s a relatively easy walk from the car park, 300 metres but steep. The views are fantastic. There is some nice woodland around the car park that is good for birds. The drive up is on gravel so be prepared for plenty of dust.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

360 views but quite underwhelmed with the views. Pretty average. Lots of small insects and mozzies even in autumn.
Dont bother if you dont have much time.
Walk up ok on granite steps but still puffing slightly on warm day.

White Box 8 km circuit walk was a great way to spend a few hrs in the bush. Lots of wild flowers and wildlife. Watching this this lace monitor was a highlight of our walk. Good picnic facilities available.

I don’t know the answer to your question but we didn’t see any dogs whilst we were there. It’s not really trails so I don’t think it would be a good idea to let a dog roam through the bush.
