Great views of the Indigo Valley looking towards Wodonga. Not too much of a physical work but does have uneven surfaces . Some deep drop offs close to the track so young children would need supervision.

We were lucky enough to encounter 3 rock wallabies bouncing around the top of the mount and this combined with the spectacular view made it a special moment. We'd come the longer way around the mountain on the dirt roads from the Yeddonba Aboriginal site on the Yedonba (different spelling) road to pine gap road to old coach road up to the Mt Pilot viewpoint. It’s a relatively easy walk from the car park, 300 metres but steep. The views are fantastic. There is some nice woodland around the car park that is good for birds. The drive up is on gravel so be prepared for plenty of dust.

Well worth a visit if you're in the area. It is a 300 metre walk to the top. I would say you have to be moderately fit to get to the top. There are rough steps which have a lot of loose stones on them. I wouldn't recommend walking to the top if it has been raining. Once at the top you get a great 360° view of the area which is well worth the walk.…
