Views at Mt Pilot lookout are stunning and it is a fantastic place for 360 degree views, and to watch the sunset. The walk up to the top is steep, and could be dangerous in the wet weather.

There are many sections to the Park and we visited a few of them while birding. The section in the hills was very dry with little undergrowth but interesting. The sections around the lakes were also dry but the lakes were full and most pleasant.

Great views of the Indigo Valley looking towards Wodonga. Not too much of a physical work but does have uneven surfaces . Some deep drop offs close to the track so young children would need supervision.

My wife walked along some tracks in the area, and enjoyed the natural beauty of the Australian bush.

We were lucky enough to encounter 3 rock wallabies bouncing around the top of the mount and this combined with the spectacular view made it a special moment. We'd come the longer way around the mountain on the dirt roads from the Yeddonba Aboriginal site on the Yedonba (different spelling) road to pine gap road to old coach road up to the Mt Pilot viewpoint. The drive was also quite a treat.

It’s a relatively easy walk from the car park, 300 metres but steep. The views are fantastic. There is some nice woodland around the car park that is good for birds. The drive up is on gravel so be prepared for plenty of dust.

Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

It is a 300 metre walk to the top. I would say you have to be moderately fit to get to the top. There are rough steps which have a lot of loose stones on them. I wouldn't recommend walking to the top if it has been raining.

Once at the top you get a great 360° view of the area which is well worth the walk.

Tucked away just off the main Rd and a short 300m stepped climb up to a surprising 360 degree view over all surrounding forest and farm land

We drove to the Mt Pilot car park then climbed to the summit for spectacular 360 degree views. But hang onto your hat, strong winds will happily remove it for you! There is a fire lookout tower at the top and a brass directional plaque pointing to various distant landmarks. The climb to the summit is not hard, but it is a rustic rock track and maybe challenging for elderly or young children. Worth a visit.

Nice park, make sure to head to Woolshed Falls and Mt Pilot. Lots of history around the Magenta Mine area. White box walk is worth the time as well
