Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Every Sunday and Wednesday the friendly model boat enthusiasts bring their models down to cruise around the old quarry lake. From speedboats to steam and sail powered they kept our grand daughter busy for about 20 minutes before we had to go to the playground and it really has everything a 3 yo would want - big spiral slide, a wooden ship with slides, climbing nets and a bridge then there are the swings and a mini maze. To top it all off there are free bbq's and a covered seating area. I can understand why it is popular for kiddies parties.

I imagine this park gets quite busy on weekends. The council appear to have thought of everything. There are plenty of seats, undercover seating too, well maintained paths, playground areas for toddlers and children, a mini maze and electric bbq's. There is even a water bottle refill station. Sad to see several piles of dog poo in the children's play areas but not all dog owners are responsible or thoughtful. The park users are good with face mask wearing too from what we saw.

Another Covid-19 lockdown is currently taking place in Melbourne. The sixth lockdown in the series with no end in sight yet.

Travel is again restricted to include exercise in parks. I visited this park to enjoy walking for some exercise, fresh air and the views.

This is a relatively large suburban park with a sports oval, a playground, a lake and an indoor swimming complex next to it.

The park is a very large area of green in Box Hill that started life as a quarry and brick works. You cannot miss it as you drive Canterbury Road to the city and cross Elgar Road. The brick works were purchased by the Council in 1904 and the area became the park and the hole the Surrey Dive. Today it is a great expanse of green, a sporting field and a swimming complex plus a kids playground and a few other areaqs worth a visit.

This is the best kept secret in the whole Whitehorse council area and maybe in eastern Melbourne.
The complex features a small but pretty lake ( often used by members of a model boat club ) Watching these activities is relaxing and interesting , Of course there are ducks on the lake. A recently upgraded walk way where visitors can enjoy seeing the lake from many aspects is an added attraction. This area has several places where B B Q facilities are provided, There are Tennis courts, Basketball courts, Baseball facilities three or more ovals and lots of shady areas where a family can enjoy a picnic either using the BBQ facilities or a cold lunch on a hot day. While swimming in the lake is not permitted as is fishing The multi million dollar Aquatic Centre is close by - Some would say it is part of this complex and provides the Surrey Park with a great choice of Aquatic options for adults and children alike. the Aquatic center provides fitness classes , Yoga classes and many other health inspiring activities as well as housing a enjoyable cafe
This area offers some exciting fun for young children and an unusual variety of ways a family or group of friends can have an inexpensive relaxing experience
