Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quite a nice park in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and well attended by the locals. The park is almost completely wheelchair friendly and child friendly too. Just watch them near the water!

There is a reasonable amount of parking and areas to sit. Events are sometimes held here (Christmas Carols etc).

All up a nice green space with various water features.

This place is truly a wonderful park all year round, we visited just the other day and enjoyed a milkshake in the cafe onsite. Watching the birds chirping and enjoying each others company. Lots of beautiful spots to relax, have a picnic or watch your children play in the park.

It was a beautiful park that exceeded my expectation. There were plenty of walking tracks some easy, some moderate winding through the rolling terrain. Historical background of the site created an excitement to explore the different areas of the park. Information centre had some exhibits of fossils unearthed at the site and the descriptions provided very useful information. Visit was well worth. There was a little kiosk named “Gather” in the park which offered variety of drinks and bites which was very useful to me.

Our Melbourne based PROBUS group visited Wilson park recently, and were blown away by this place. They loved the history, the gardens and how well maintained it all is. None of our members (except my husband and me) had been here before, and they were all surprised that they had not been aware of the park’s existence before. There was a variety of fitness levels amongst us, but all managed a walk among the variety of walks available. They all vowed to return with their grandchildren. Sue Q

My wife and I visited this Park recently. It is a large park measuring 138 hectares. We walked around the rose garden next to the visitor's centre, walked around all three lakes and also climbed up Hoo Hoo lookout tower.

We spent about two hours walking across the entire park and enjoyed the physical exercise.

Love this park. I think the picnic areas are expensive to hire but if you don’t you could risk missing out so it’s best to hire. But a little expensive. The place is beautiful amazing & love coming here it’s pet friendly too & kids have a great play area.

My family, my two beautiful small pets and I always looking forward to visit lovely park! It has everything you wish for in a park from walking, running, jogging to playing with your kids or running around with your pets!
The Wilson Botanic Park has its own calendar where you can always count on with movie nights, pets meetings and to celebrate weddings, birthdays or just a get together with co workers, friends or family!
We strongly recommend this park to everyone visiting Melbourne.

This is a beautiful park set in lovely gardens, with a sealed walk around the lake suitable for prams etc. There is also a nice little playground but it is away from the lake so it doesn't disturb the serenity for those without kids. There is a lookout over surrounding suburbs up near the park. It's a great spot to get back to nature in the middle of suburbia.
