    Billsons Brewery Review
We had a splendid lunch at the brewery, which included a very large cheeseboard, which included 2 different cheeses, 3 different meats, crackers, sour dough bread, olives and 4 dips. We were unable to finish it, so the very friendly staff supplied a container plus ramekins to enable us to take the balance with us. The paddles of beer were also nice, and the price of the food and drinks was reasonable. The left overs effectively provided another meal for us the next day. The next day I also did the brewery tour which was very informative and interesting.

    The pride of Beechworth!
Well what a pleasure! From the first greeting to our departure, this was a pleasurable experience for all. The speakeasy downstairs is stunning with its huge stone blocks, enormous beams, stone floors, leather chesterfields, comfy stools and tables. Something for everyone. Then comes our server Michelle. Personable, well spoken, knowledgeable about her work domain and nothing was too much trouble. Nothing! We had 3 Celiacs and a vegan. No problem. We can accommodate with ease. And the food didn’t fail to please! A gift to the eye and the palate! And delightful drinks to suit our varied needs! We later went upstairs for tastings and were again treated to staff who represented the company with pride and passion. I sound like I’ve got shares in the company! Actually…they’re shares I’d buy! Well done Billsons! The pride of Beechworth!
Such a beautiful review, Anastasia - makes us feel like we were right there with you. We are so happy to hear your enthusiasm. Thank you for visiting and for sharing ☺️

    Love Billsons Brewery!
I'm a bit biased as I buy my drinks directly from Billson's on a regular basis. For visitors to the area Billson's provide a whole experience on its own. Its definaitely for everyone, families with kids, groups of friends or couples having some time away. Start by booking your historical tour for 11am. You will be greeted by one of the delightful staff members who will take you through giving you a detailed history lesson of how it all began and how it arrived at today. The tour finishes at the cellar door where your taste buds are given the opportunity to be wowed with every flavour currently available to purchase. Cordials, vodka pre mix, gin pre mix, beers, liqueurs, vodkas and gins. Extend your visit by booking lunch for 12.30 (if you have just done the tour) You can dine in the Tap Room, great for kids, the Speak Easy down stairs for the ultimate relaxing setting with a cocktail or 2 or the beautiful beer garden. I recommend booking for lunch on any given day you would like to attend. The cellar door is available for tastings at anytime during the afternoon without a booking and is free. You can pick and mix the cans, cordials and other items that take your fancy. I can not praise the staff highly enough! They are an absolute delight and love their jobs which shows. Driving to Beechworth to visit Billson's Brewery should be on everyones bucket list!
What an incredible recommendation! You really got what we do, and it will be helpful to others reading this. But it’s also lovely for our team to hear how much you enjoy visiting 😊🥰 Thank you so much - hope to see you again soon.

    Tour and lunch!
Booked the brewery tour - Teresa was so informative, fun and friendly. There was so much to take in on the tour of the brewery and she was excellent t. The history behind it was really interesting and even though we’ve been to Beechworth many times and know a lot - this was so good. Lin h was had in the speakeasy downstairs- service and food was both excellent!

A gem for the town, made the visit worthwhile
A great open space for dining, we were in a separate booth for 4 and it made me feel like a VIP. The staff were lovely, and the food delicious. The kids got to try some cordials and I had the ginger beer, very nice. Food wise, we were impressed, whilst a smallish menu of burgers and non burgers, we all found something. My daughter and I shared the pulled lamb burger with halloumi, very nice. Our son had the beef brisket tacos and liked the heat they had and husband had the ribs, also enjoying the heat. The waitress mentioned these were both spicy upfront which was fine but good to know beforehand. Then we went in for cordial and alcohol tastings. The kids were entertained with trying different cordials and we were happy with the self poring from the range premix cans. A really relaxed and enjoyable way to do it, and meant you had as much or as little as you wanted. The liquors were also great and the salted caramel and coffee ones particular standouts. Would love to come back with friends and without kids to really enjoy this place further. I will be back.

    Historical Tour, Tastings & Lunch
We booked a tour followed by lunch on a Monday. The tour guide Terry was incredibly informative and engaging, we thoroughly enjoyed being shown around such a thoughtfully renovated historical business. We had multiple tastings in various rooms throughout the tour, with non-alcoholic options for our 13yo. The history behind Billson's was really quite fascinating. Lunch was lovely, staff were switched on and attentive. Shop was full to the brim with flavours to tempt any palate. Highly recommend stopping in for a visit.
Thank you for your fantastic review! 😀 We're thrilled you enjoyed the tour with Terry, our history and lunch. We will pass your feedback on to our kitchen, hospitality team & Terry. We hope to welcome you back soon!

    Great experience
We chose to holiday at Beachworth after following Billsons on socials. The experience did not disappoint. The whole brewery and tour was great and having eight children aged ten and under was no problem, they loved the cordial tasting and we love the real drinks.

    Something for everyone
Kids loved that they got to taste stuff. Was an excellent combo of old and new, cordial and booze. More stats/infographics about volume and product range / distribution range over time would have been cool. We really enjoyed it and was good to do rather than just turn up at noon for the tasting bar.
Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear that your kids enjoyed the tasting experience. We appreciate your suggestion about providing more statistics and infographics about our volume and product range over time. We will pass on this valuable feedback to our team for further discussion.😁

We went for Sunday lunch but had mucked up the booking! We ended up having fabulous cocktails in the Speakeasy with great, friendly and knowledgeable service. A spilled drink resulted in apologies and a complimentary platter! Highly recommended.

We did a tour of the brewery and I would highly recommend if you visit Beechworth. Our tour guide Claire was brilliant, very laid back and we had quite a few laughs along the way! There was plenty of tastings, and was great to see all of the rooms and where/how it is all made. A great history lesson too.

A tour of this historical brewery was interspersed with tastings of some of the cordials and gins. Lots of interesting anecdotes from times gone by - things were done differently in the seventies! There are multiple areas to have lunch - we ate in the taproom. The outdoor area is lovely on a warm day and the speakeasy would be great on a colder winter's day. The menu is burgers and not burgers but the contents of the burgers is not just your average meat patty. I had duck leg and my husband had pulled lamb. Yum.

This was a great little surprise package & refreshing way to end our day. Within walking distance from town, right from the moment you arrive it is clear that care & consideration has been taken to preserve this piece of history. Like many great venues - we wished we had more time to enjoy. The bar, cafe, taste testing & overall vibe is a joy. Great staff & very helpful. Well priced too & great gifts to share with friends. Bought a stash of cordial plus pre-mixed drinks to enjoy later. A real asset to an already amazing town.

Always a great place to sit, relax, eat, drink cocktails and, of course, taste all their yummy creations upstairs.
Personal recommendation is The Alfred Gin - it's purple, it's amazing!
