Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A quirky, informative friendly little shop with a proud history. We were in Beechworth for four day and every day went back to the Beechworth Honey Shop. The staff were awesome with regard to their product knowledge, as well as the town and general area. They provided positive banter with customers and ensured the atmosphere was light and fun. Their product range was surprisingly vast with some many different varieties of products which were all honey related. There is a short video tour that you can take with your family which provides history on the Beechworth Honey Company as well as information relating to bee’s in general. You can then participate in the vast range of honey tasting products.
If you’re ever in the Beechworth area, do yourself a favour and go and visit the Beechworth Honey shop… You won’t be disappointed.

Bee experiences were closed due to covid, though retail staff were being very helpful and positive. I overheard how they were spreading out the more experienced staff, and pairing them with newer holiday staff to learn more. Smart idea managers! It meant. More people couple have a lush tasting of the over 40 varieties of honey on offer to try. Well presented shop with varieties on sale that aren’t seen in grocery stores. Australia’s most Ethical larger Honey business that does not encourage horrid bee killing practices such as flow hives and pesticide. Was offered to join their mailing list, great marketing! The lady who served us at the counter was very patient too. Excellent job so far:-) :-)

Never thought there was so many types of honey and all the things you can make from it. Beautifully presented shop, friendly staff, and fantastic value for so many things. You can quite easily spend a small fortune but the products looked high quality and beautifully packaged.

I ordered some honey for Christmas and honestly just expected the jars to be in a box with wrapping. Beechworth went above and beyond and not only did they wrap the jars, they added sample sachets of honey, a free gift of Beechworth organic hand soap and then topped it off with gum leaves and blossoms. It was so special to open and receive that authentic touch. Thank you team, you've outdone yourselves again! :)

I grew up on a supermarket brand of honey and it wasn't until later in life that I found that honey is far from generic. It depends on where it's sourced that changes the flavour of honey... and quite considerably.
So enter into this honey wonderland with an open mind because they are set to tantalise your tastebuds and teach you wondrous things about this sweet delicacy.
Things to learn are-
* The study of pollen in honey is called 'melissopalynology'.
* Honey will keep indefinitely in a jar.
* Honey has anti-bacterial and anti-septic benefits
* Cats cannot taste honey
* We have a blue banded bee in Australia
* Ancient Greek civilisations regarded honey as a symbol of blessings, and happiness.
* Honey is the ONLY food that includes all the substances necessary to sustain life, including water.
* There are 20,000 species of bees on earth and only a small fraction of them make honey.
But enough about interesting facts... the fact you are looking for is that the store is worth visiting. They have a tasting area for anyone in doubt of the differences in honey.
I left with a couple of items for gifts... a jar of their branded Christmas honey and a jar of honey to be used with cheese! Yes, cheese! It's quite delicious to have honeycomb or honey with cheese.

We came here bcos my son is obsessed with bees and the hive at the honey centre on Main Street was locked behind a gate.
What a great strike of luck we decided to visit here as well. It’s more than just a retail shop. You can taste test numerous kinds of honey or try the soft drinks made with honey. The ice cream is also affordable and yummy. The highlight for our kids was watching the bee hive out the window.
Highly recommend this must see attraction

There were loads of people(socially distanced) with the same idea -let’s buy honey!
The range of honeys seemed bigger than on the web site. So many to choose from, but luckily, you can still taste. Staff are knowledgeable, prices are great. Lots of accessories too, such as honey twirlers. Then the lip balms, the candles, the books.....
Hard to walk out without a large bag full.

We were visiting family in the area so stopped buy here to have a look as they wanted to buy some honey. There is a tasting station there to sample the huge range of honey before purchasing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly to the three year old in our group. There are other gift and product lines to purchase. This is a very ‘sweet’ shop to visit which supports the local economy and local honey.

My family and I visited here recently, we were surprised to see such a range of honeys on display and available for tastings. My daughters enjoyed the honey tastings and watching the bees busy at work in their natural environment. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

We went on Boxing Day to Beechworth honey. 2 families going to check out the sights.
There is a great viewing window where you can see the bees at work making honey, heaps of honey to try and a large variety of products.
