Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beautiful Victorian building stands on the corner of Camp Street. It stands as a prominent landmark showing it's important during the gold-mining era and is an excellent example of the larger two story post offices of this period, incorporating a telegraph office and postmaster's residence.

This building was completed in 1870 and replaced a former Post Office destroyed by a fire in 1867.
Its an amazing and well preserved historical building with a clock tower and bell.
Located across the road from the famous Beechmere Honey.

This magnificent building in the centre of town is a great example of colonial architecture. The beautiful sandstone work and the impressive clock tower have stood the test of time and remind us of the importance of the post office as a centre of communication in times before the internet.

The Post Office was constructed in 1870, to a design by Peter Kerr, incorporating a tower dating from 1865 and other materials from an earlier post office building on the site.
Kerr immigrated to Melbourne in 1852 after working under Sir Charles Barry on the design of the Palace of Westminster. He is known for being the principal designer of the Parliament House of Victoria. His notable works included portions of the Law Courts, Government House, Post Office and Customs House.
This Post Office played an important role in communicating news in 1880 of the infamous murders of police at Stringybark Creek and the various exploits of the Kelly gang.
It's a beautiful building in a town of lovely old buildings and sits well in the streetscape, located on the roundabout.

The historical post office is still functioning till today. A simple post office with the regular Australian Post Service is available in this branch. Otherwise, that's about it.
