Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A Bi-Plane flight over the Bay of Islands, a fantastic personalized experience thaet takes you back in time of the beginning of aviation. Beats a helicopter ride 100% and it is cheaper for 2 people sharing.

I did the warbird 25 min aerobatic flight. What an amazing and unique experience! Beautiful plane, wonderful scenery! Pilot is very friendly and makes sure you are doing alright. After the main set of aerobatics there was still time so he did some extra moves. Can't compare the experience of the G-forces and the way the world tumbles up and down. Certainly thrilling, but also oddly relaxing. A once in a lifetime experience. The waiting room is also really nice with coaches, tv, aircon and bathroom. A bit clunky, but definitely doable to get out here by public transport if you plan it right.
Only downside, a bit unrelated so won't pull off a star, but it would be great to have a budget option for the footage. I understand that it costs money to get a professionally edited video of the experience. I just don't have the budget (think it was 140 AUD) to get it so would be nice to have a cheaper option with just some of the raw footage or even just some photos so to be able to remember this wonderful experience.

My wife and I did the flight over the Bay of Islands and it was fantastic! She was very nervous about going up but came back with a huge smile. Jordan, the pilot, is great, making you feel comfortable and giving you a commentary. Highly recommended!

I did this flight mid September 2019. The pilot Antoine was very good and the flight itself was an exciting, (sometimes scary) experience. It's not cheap though costing around $450 AUD for the experience. The thing I was disappointed with though was the USB of the flight. Having paid an extra $100 or so for the USB, I expected footage of the whole experience, not a ten minute highlight package.

The feeling of freefalling back to earth from the vertical climb is off the dial.
Let alone the rest of the manouvres, looking forward to a dog fight.
My pilot explained everything so clearly, preparing me for the next barrell roll, vertical climb etc.Loved it.

This is an absolutely magic way to view the 12 Apostles. We had a 25 minute flight in a biplane and got to experience not just the amazing views but also the thrill of flying in an open cockpit biplane. We took off from Peterborough and from the first moment we arrived we were made to feel comfortable and special. The pilot was great and the whole experience was amazing.

We took the biplane over the bay of Islands, and a few other attractions. The ride itself is thrilling, however, the view is spectacular. Don't ho and hum about this ride, you won't regret it. We accidentally came across this ride when seeing the biplane in the air starting to land in the air strip. We hopped into the car and followed it, only to discover we could take this ride. We ordered the video, but haven't gotten it yet, but will be looking forward to the footage of our entire ride.

This aerobatic and simulated dogfighting experience was exhilarating! The optional video ensures the memories remain fresh.
