A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love this pool! I have lessons here and the complex is pretty much brand new. The facilities are great with indoor and outdoor pools. Indoor and outdoor change rooms available as well.

This has something for everyone. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a spa/sauna/steam room area and a gym. They also offer classes including yoga, pilates, boxing, and aqua aerobics. There is onsite parking including bicycle parking.
The facility was upgraded a few years back and they did a great job with adding on the indoor swimming area and the gym.
Prices vary depending on how often you visit and how many components of the facility you intend to use. There is a 20 visit swim pass which is $127 for adults. You can also get half yearly and yearly memberships to the whole facility. If you live in Northern Beaches Council area you can try out the facility with a free 5 day pass that lets you use everything on offer.
There are lockers for hire in the pool area for $2 each or if you have gym membership you can use the lockers in the change rooms for free (some of these were out of order and I found the keypads a bit temperamental).

I got a great deal and this gives me excess to the gym, different courses over the week, swimming pools and spa with sauna and steam rooms. Perfectly located close to my home in Manly. Friendly and helpful staff, great equipment, and very capacious.

Tried enrolling my disabled children into the swimming program and was given the most intense bs runaround by staff. In the end I gave up but there’s no way in the third Millenia am I about to let it go. Northern beaches council make bold claims about keeping their services inclusive and adhering to very clear legal standards set out in the framework they are paid millions of dollars to follow. This swim centre is a joke and good luck to the operators cos you’re all on notice. Along with your rude and socially inept lifeguards. Stop hiring kids.

Great coffee shop with views out over Sydney harbour. It has both indoor and outdoor dining. Great menu choices for breakfast. French toast with berries is a real highlight.

My girls 5 & 6 loved the little kids area and the little serpent slide was a hit with them. They loved running around inside and outside checking out all of the pools.

The outside area is also really good to replace and watch the kids in the pool.

The water temperature was perfect for my liking and carried for each pool.

The cafe served real chicken tender nuggets and not the minced up rubbish you normally get.

Certainly going back!

Great spot for locals. Probably not something I would recommend to a tourist but is a nice healthy way for kids and young teenagers to hang out and have fun.

When you're in Sydney you have to swim in an outdoor 50m pool. The one has had an amazing revamp and is open all year round. Great for swimming lengths but indoor play pool is great for play and there's a good Cafe.

Pure bliss is an early morning swim in the sparkling water. Showers in clean change rooms. Lots of shady spots around the three pools: 50 metres, 25 metres and a toddler pool. There is even a great little kiosk. This swim centre has the best of everything!
