This is a terrific place to visit if you want to have a relaxing break and be taken back to Australia's past. The owners have obviously spent large amounts of money in restoring the old buildings to their 19th Century glory. There is a "Ladies Sewing room" complete with old machines, tables and bobbins. A "Mens Smoking room" has also... More

we really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The suites are part of the old quarantine station that have been sympathetically renovated and restored, the grounds are beautiful, and history surrounded us. The hotel is close to Manly but incredibly tranquil, if a bit eerie at night. We want to return and do he ghost tour. Highly recommended. Only substitute I... More

There are self guided tours or go for the entertaining professional ones. There is an easy to follow path, with human interest stories. It's a part of the city I was largely unaware of.

Q station is a great fine dining dinner option or a simple lunch option. Its a historic Australian site, plenty to see if you walk the grounds with awesome food options

We come here quite a bit in summer and winter. We love the little beach but also the sights of the quarantine station and its history. We come over on our boat, however it is also accessible by car or ferry. We have stayed here before and have done dinner and the ghost tour. I would recommend this too. It... More

I My partner and I visited in 2015 and had a great time - the tour guide was really interesting and we felt like we learnt a lot about the history of the site. The stories were dramatic and we were shown into many different areas of the station. I would definitely recommend visiting, it was an entertaining evening and... More

Well preserved Australian colonial history. Gives a good insight into what early immigrants faced on sailing to Australia.

Didn't really expect ghosts but it was creepy enough. Nice evening, very atmospheric and a good way to spend a night out. Get a cab from Manly as its a bit of a walk. Very interesting history more than anything else.

The museum at the wharf gives a thorough history of the Q Station and each building gives an illustration of its purpose. Very interesting walk around the facility.
