A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The corso is located between the ferry and the surf beach and is an easy 5-10 min walk from the ferry to the surf beach. There are plenty of dining options including a few pubs, shopping is mainly surf/beach wear with some other major chains (Sportsgirl, Cotton On, Chemist Warehouse). Markets on the weekend. A great spit to visit for tourists and Sydney siders alike. Free parking for 2 hours the paid parking after that, otherwise catch the ferry from Circular Quay.

This is what I would call central Manly.

One usually walks through The Corso if arriving via Ferry to get to the beach.

This is where the weekend market is held and has several pubs, restaurants and retail shops including Coles.

Its great that there are lots of seating area and buskers regularly ply their trade here.

This is a long walkway that stretches from just across the road from the ferry all the way to Manly Beach itself. There are various shops, cafes, and restaurants as you go for a stroll.

I was there on a Tuesday afternoon when it was drizzly so it was a quiet experience for me.

On a day trip to Manly, the Corso is the link between the ferry terminal and Manly Beach. The northern half of the Corso is a fully pedestrian mall. There are numerous retail stores and places to get a drink or bite to eat. The place is nicely maintained and pretty clean.

Knew little nothing about Manly prior to a ferry visit as tourist.
Corso or Corsi (?) gather short for Causeway.
A street & mall running south to north from harbour side ferry terminal.
Interesting variety of shops and dining options.

Catch the ferry on the brilliant Sydney Harbour to the wharf and head over to the Corso. Linking the wharf and the beach the Corso is home to specialty shops and restaurants and cafes. Nice area to walk, grab some fish and chips for a picnic on the beach then head back to the ferry after a great day out.

Stayed in manly for a couple of nights. Accommodation was at the end of the Corso, and we enjoyed walking around this area with all its side streets, filled with cafes, quirky shops, and interesting things. A little bit different from when I lived here 40 years ago.

The pedestrian walkway from when you get off the ferry up till you get to the oceanfront is known as The Corso. It's a lovely piece of walkway to make your way through. Dotted with shops all along and a playground and often music wafting through the air. It has atmosphere and a holiday feel. You can duck down different laneways and find interesting cafes. The most walked piece of land in Manly.

The Corso is the main hub/mall of Manly Beach.

Located on the beach there are lots of great sitting areas to enjoy the ocean views as it is closed to traffic.

Lots of retail, restaurants, cafes and pubs around to keep one occupied.

It runs from the Ferry Terminal to the beach.

they wrecked it .
used to be good when it had that entertainment place in the middle of the corso !
now we sit on metal benches that burn your buns on a hot day and freeze them on a cold day .
no character anymore .
its just a thoroughfare to get from the wharf to the surf beach!
sad really !
