Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On my recent stay in Sydney I twice attended games here watching once the Waratahs and once the Sea Eagles. On each occasion I enjoyed the atmosphere the crowds generated. A large stadium with grassy banks on two sides does not to my knowledge exist in the UK. It was a real joy to sit on the grass and watch a sporting event. I don't think I would be saying that if it rained though. One difference between the two visits was that for the Waratahs game the queues for food and drinks were lengthy but almost non existent for the Sea Eagles game. I look forward to attending here again on my next stay in Sydney

The facilities at Brookvale Oval are not great with two sides in the open air; great if the weather is fine but less so in the rain. Even in the members’ stand you get wet in heavy rain.
The atmosphere is like a football ground from the 1980s. The good part being that it is an unsophisticated local ground and you feel part of the local team and community. With less than 10,000 present it did not generate a “buzz”. Needs some TLC and significant investment.

I love going to Brookie Oval. Its a local friendly atmosphere. Beer friendly and a great place to meet your mates for a fun game and arvo out. Love it! Yeah, and bring the kids.

My partner and I had dinner here last night after arriving in the area. We wanted a nice meal & a couple of drinks. Both our meals were absolutely beautiful I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which was huge. My partner ordered Barramundi which he said was really good. The meals were well priced & very fresh.

It feels like an old football ground and it has had little upgrade or investment in the grounds recently due to disputes between local council and the Manly team. Went there on Fri night about 15,000 people there, nice vibe but bad result

Stayed in Sydney for 3 nights across the road from Sea Eagles club & dined at their bistro all 3 nights. Beverley on the front desk made us very welcome, so decided to become a member. clean, friendly establishment. happy to be on board.

The home of my favorite NFL team - the mighty Manly Warringah Sea Eagles - so I can't criticize it. For rugby league purists this is your classic suburban footie ground. It's still got a lot of grass-covered hill so roll out your picnic rug on a weekend afternoon. Facilities are adequate and for a close up rugby league experience that's what you want - not some less-than-half-filled stadium. "Go Manly!" - and visit their leagues club just around the corner, to celebrate (or bag the bloody referees again)
