We visited Barry island on more than one occasion with our children aged 7 years and 9 years. The beach and promenade was clean and tidy which was lovely to see, we visited one of the one of the local chip shops and sat outside eating. The arcades were fun for our children and again the people running them tried... More

My other half took me for a surprise and it was just lovely. It was lovely and warm (when out of the wind). The beach is nice and sandy, the 2p machines were fun and the ice cream was delish. Definitely recommend for everyone who likes a good beach!

Took the other half for a stroll around Barrybados (her idea, not mine). We immediately noticed a high number of dog walkers. Not a big problem as we like dogs. But there was the inevitable dog mess in a few places due to this. The beach is well kept and the geology is a wonderful site to behold. The colours... More

Went on Sunday with my grandchildren. It was very sunny and very busy as you would expect. The fun fair wasn't up to much. Looks like they are knocking it down and rebuilding the fair. Lost of amusements saved the day

It's local and ok for a stroll but the whole area is a bit of a dive. Everything is run down but idea of you have kids who are happy to have a look on the arcades and play two pence machines penny pushers. You have to go knowing it's a run down place to appreciate it for what it... More

I am so pleased the fun fair is slowly coming together again. Reasonable priced and kind staff. Well done Danter family and thanks. Look forward to our next visit.

Good to see that this facility is now open most days around the year. They are trying to renovate it and provide modern rides.

Good place to visit in the winter months with dogs as they are allowed on the beach which is a great one. Quite a few coffee shops to enjoy a cuppa and lots of games arcades for children and teenagers (and adults !). Most coffee shops are dog friendly too. Also have an amusement park open in the summer months.... More

We had a lovely walk around Barry with Chay and Hooch. Lovely clean beach where Hooch enjoyed his run. Plenty of places eat and amusements for children. Places featured in TV program Gavin and Stacey easy to recognise.

Tried the big wheel out on the weekend, having been on the London one, the Cardiff winterwonder land one, this one is just way too fast to enjoy. The Music played in the park isn't very family friendly! (Lots of swearing) Just glad to see them doing some work and trying to bring it back to life. Slow the wheel,... More
