We had been on a short break in Cardiff and decided to drive down to visit Barry Island. This was part of a nostalgia trip for my husband, who had stayed at Butlins many years ago as a child. He was shocked and saddened to...More

Although we were four adults, you could see there was plenty of old time amusement, along with a beautiful beach, and a small promenade. lots of cafes, some licensed.. the railway station is yards away. Generally speaking we found everybody very friendly and helpful

We spent a while just walking around taking it all in. Lots to see and quite a few arcades and eateries. Pretty gardens. Some free parking for short stay.

Good fun. Beautiful surroundings. A must for anyone visiting Barry Island. Once you've been on the rides go grab some chips and dine with a view on the beach. Simply stunning.
