The Welsh Quilt Centre opened in Lampeter Town Hall in 2009 to celebrate the Welsh Quilt and to promote a wider understanding of the importance of this regional art form. Here you can enjoy stunning exhibitions of Welsh Quilts in the gallery, attend quilt-related courses or just browse the intriguing Welsh Quilt Centre Gallery Shop. The original cottage shop in Llanybydder also remains open.

Shop selling vintage Welsh blankets, quilts and all sorts of tasteful artefacts. Upstairs there is a constantly changing exhibition of quilts/blankets. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit. They also have a shop a few miles away with even more beautiful vintage quilts/blankets/bedding etc. Absolutely wonderful.

This is a must place to visit for anyone interested in beautiful old Welsh Quilts. Jen Jones has a fantastic eye for detail and presentation for these old Quilts. Also interesting data of old diaries and photographs and newspaper cuttings displayed.

2017 Exhibition AS GOOD AS IT GETS is now open and well worth a visit. The quality of work in the quilts on display is excellent. If quilting or the history of quilting is your thing you can spend a few very enjoyable hours here. I will certainly make another visit.

I was hoping to see the obnoxious woman but no sign. But then I didn't try to touch the quilts. But it would have been nice to have been given gloves as any sewer wants to look at the back of things. The exhibition was wonderful and we were lucky to catch it as they were planning to dismantle it... More

Great place, but the staff let you down, we paid 6 pound each to go in ( which we had no problem with ) until a very rude lady shouted and continued to shout at my mother like she was a child as she went to touch one of the blankets, ( human nature to want to feel) this put... More

Visited with my sister who is a professional quilter I just went along for company. It was much more interesting than I anticipated. Very carefully put together themed exhibition of historical quilts and other little bits of Welsh costume history. Fascinating and made me want an antique flannel quilt. This years exhibition nearly over will come back for the new... More

Wonderful collection of historic quilts. The lady who introduced the collection to us was knowledgeable and very warm. The display is clear and comprehensive. Even if you are not that interested in quilt, go and have a look at these works of art.

My wife and I were invited to a preview of the exhibition 'Ar Hyd y Nos' (All through the Night) which ran at the centre between 10 May and 2 July 2016. We were warmly welcomed in their well-stocked Gallery Shop where we browsed through their impressive range of books, jewellery and greeting cards as well as marvelling at their... More

I am so pleased that I made the long journey to visit the quilt museum, it was definitely worth the visit. They have an excellent collection of quilts and there is plenty of space to view them and very nicely set out. They have some wonderful things to buy in the shop.
