The Welsh Quilt Centre opened in Lampeter Town Hall in 2009 to celebrate the Welsh Quilt and to promote a wider understanding of the importance of this regional art form. Here you can enjoy stunning exhibitions of Welsh Quilts in the gallery, attend quilt-related courses or just browse the intriguing Welsh Quilt Centre Gallery Shop. The original cottage shop in Llanybydder also remains open.

An idea of what you can do on wet day in South Wales. Visited this museum on a wet day in November, not the biggest museum to visit but of a very high quality exhibit. (I don't think you would see as much high quality...More

Been meaning to visit for ages and finally did - smaller than I expected and would have liked far more patchwork quilts (there was a whole cloth exhibition) but well presented and explained.

An interesting museum to visit if you are interested in Welsh Quilts and the history of the ladies who made them. Some exquisite quilts, showing the wonderful skills of the makers. Slightly disapointed in the shop which had the feel of a charity shop, random...More

My wife and I spent about 90 minutes looking at the vast array of "priceless" Quilts, superbly hung and displayed on beds with matching pillows and occasional quilted Dressing Gowns, each display with carded history, and two lovely ladies answering our questions. As a man...More
