We have just had two large breakfasts. They'd run out of hash browns, fair enough they offered us fried bread and knocked some money off. We said one without black pudding, they both came without black pudding. No beans, they hadnt mentioned they had run out of these. Eggs weren't cooked and there was raw egg white coating other things... More

I am sorry to learn that the products we supplied did not meet with your expectations and this is something that we wished we could have rectified at the time of your visit. The coffee is always fresh filter coffee, unless decaffinated coffee is requested, as in this case. We welcome feedback and we want to exceed our customers expectations.... More

Took both my Granddaughters on the Halloween Steam and Scream journey. They loved it. It was a very memorable evening. The team and the professionalism they showed were outstanding! Let's not forget that this is an organisation run by volunteers, which is obviously the key to the passion they have for what they do. I couldn't say it was anything... More

After bad weather prevented us going on the Snowdon railway, Talyllyn was a sort of compensation, even if a rather less adventurous. Everything about this activity is excellent, reflecting in part the many years of dedication by the volunteers who run it. Leaving aside that these are real people who love what they do, the station mistress, the engine driver... More

I have made this trip many times and I'm still blown away by the scenery. The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble, the cafe at Tywyn is putting me off my diet, it is excellent! I can't fault a thing, brilliant day out. I would recommend going all the way to the end of the line for the... More

no more open carriages, so no more soot in hair/face - mind you, that was fun as a youngster! easy to park, book and alter your journey on a Day Rover.

Thank you for your feedback. The open carriages are popular with our passengers, however they do come with the added chance of soot. I hope that this did not detract from your enjoyment of the railway. Day rover tickets offer great value to travel all day. A warm welcome will be waiting for your next visit. More

All the staff are very friendly and passengers chat to each other in the carriages (that doesn't happen on the London Underground!). Scenery is beautiful. Soup in the Kings Café was good and freshly brewed tea at Abergynolwyn station just what was wanted after a wet walk. Try to make time for a visit to Dolgoch Falls - spectacular especially... More

My now wife and I got married at Abergynolwyn Station on The Tallylyn Railway last month. Our wedding planner, Lorraine, who works for the railway was excellent and everything about the day was wonderful. Even the weather was beautiful. If you're looking for something a bit different for the big day, we highly recommend getting married here.

The world of steam is well represented at Tallyn, with its attractive station and friendly and helpful staff. The journey is very pretty as the little engine puffs along, passing tiny stations and halts along the way. There are several stops and the last station has a small cafe and toilets. There is a larger cafe at the main station... More

Unfortunately we did not have time to to take a train journey but went to have a close look at the trains and station. We were surprised to see how large and informative the attached museum was which included videos, small traditional small engines and numerous artefacts (not forgetting a replica of the W. We took the train on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The trip through the valleys are lovely and we really enjoyed it. We went the whole way up the line which took about 2 and a half hours there and back. Some people got off half way to see a waterfall which we didn't see but heard they were nice. The... More
