We had a lovely afternoon at Oriel Ynys Mon. Heavy rain was falling and there was no chance of the country walk we had planned. So we came here for lunch. One of us has to use a wheelchair and we knew this was a good place to come from our experience of previous visits. There was a wide range of... More

Good car park with excellent cafe with great range of local produce. Very popular with locals so can be very busy at lunchtimes. Interesting fixed art exhibitions by two major Anglesey artists. Lots of local history information well presented. Shop has good range of artist materials and local crafts

As a gallery this place is really nice, however the cafe often leaves a lot to be desired. The staff are generally quite unwelcoming and rude, and they quite often don't have lots of things on the menu; however the food is nice. Again the craft shop is lovely but the staff let the place down. On NYE we arrived... More

We really enjoyed the gallery, especially the Kyffen Williams gallery. Really well set out and a great space. The cafe was ok, enjoyed our mains but went back for tea and cake later which was massively over priced and our lemon meringue pie was still frozen which is not pleasant. Worth a visit especially for the galleries.

Oriel Ynys Mon is a great gallery space, with permanent exhibitions and a changing exhibition space. The gallery also offers a great cafe and gift shop. The staff are friendly, and the area clean, bright and fresh. The whole building has great wheelchair access, a steep slope but nothing to bad. You do feel very watched in the exhibition rooms... A pleasant combination of area Museum and Picture Gallery. It has a mixture of permanent and temporary exhibitions suitable for the academic and children alike. The Tunnicliffe and Kyffin Williams exhibits should not be missed. Unfortunately the exhibit about a famous local ship disaster failed to function correctly but otherwise we had a fascinating time. The Arts Centre lies a mile... More
