Managed to park more or less outside as it was a Sunday afternoon. Bought a joint ticket with The Courthouse. We wandered around this very interesting gaol, some of the doors had a description of what we were looking at, others doors/cells were just open,...More

Loads of information on prison life and various methods of punishment, took about 90 minutes wandering around reading all of the information on crimes and sentencing, lots of it desperately sad. Very informative.

Recommend buying the joint ticket to see both. Both buildings are pretty much as they were hundreds of years ago. Great insight into law and order and how it worked and failed back then. Including Beaumaris’s links to pirates.

fascinating place, very thought provoking and in some ways humbling. sitting in one of the cells alone really makes your imagination run wild! Great for the young and old alike, definitely a great place to visit when in Anglesey.

Really interesting place telling you all about the history of the prison. Probably spend about an hour there. Can get a joint ticket to go to the courthouse too.
