Worth the difficult walk down to explore these Victorian Brick works built to make fire bricks from the quartzite mined from the hills behind and used to line the furnaces making steel. The whole site is testament to man’s ingenuity and endeavour. The harbour is...More

Though you are never far from civilisation there are still some quite remote parts. This year was lucky enough to spot some dolphins. Scenery is varied , mainly coastal but some inland. In the sections we walked ( between Penmon & Amlwch) the coastal footpath...More

After watching a film about the coastal path on the BBC we decided to give it a go. We looked at the various options and elected to use our touring caravan as a base. We moved the caravan along a circular route to local sites....More

Had to be the most glorious walk we have ever done. Not an easy trek as some parts are very steep, but worth it. You pass by the old building works, lively beaches. Super.

Walked the section from Lligwy beach to Molfre. Easy walk, arrived Moelfre and had a refreshing pint in local pub.

Really enjoyed this part of the coastal path, beautiful day, sun shining, heaven! The old brickworks at Porth Wen were really interesting. Were lucky enough to see two porpoises swimming together in the sea below the cliff top, three & a half hours of pure enjoyment.

Superb walk both left or right from Bull bay. Left takes you to the derelict brick works which is worth a visit as great views via a well trodden path takes approx 2 hrs, the dog loved the walk which is well signed. Take a...More

We walked from Amlwch to Llaneilian bay, a 1.5 hour easy walk. The views from the cliff tops are stunning and unspoil. Then back to Amlwch harbour. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Even if you're not into walking it's still possible to drive a lot of the way around the coastal roads

Some many hidden gems, and Porth Wen should be a candidate for a UNESCO world hertiage site. Simpy awesome!

We stayed at Trecastell Hotel, Amlwch, the hotel has beautiful sea views and there are some nice coastal walks close to the hotel; we even spotted porpoises close to shore. Our room was clean and housed a very large bed... More
