We did a little bit of the Minffordd Path, on spec and without planning, so serves us right. However, it was stunning and worth every step.... no we didn't reach the top, but we'll do that on a different route next time.

Beautiful location at the foot of Cader so easy to reach the ascents a short car journey or a longer walk away. Very comfortable rooms in the annex with a nice view of the lake and stars at night though verhead slight. . Lovely food....More

The Pony Track, but be sure to take map & compass in case of poor visibility as if you stray from the path nearer the top there are cliffs with huge drops
