Our local for several reasons but mainly the great service, cleanliness and armosphere. We prefer the quieter times for a chill (getting on now) but the busy times are great too.

The 'new look' Bar 236 is a HUGE improvement. TV screens scattered everywhere with all the sports events and big matches on. Good atmosphere during football and buzzing after 10pm. Ideal for couples and families earlier in the day for food and also cocktails on a Friday early doors.

We popped into this Bar because my partner wanted to watch the footie. The bar is smart, good range of drinks available, the staff were friendly and attentive. The seating was welcoming and comfortable. it was a shame they weren't serving food on the evening we visited which was a shame. A good Bar for sport lovers!

On my last review I thought Bar 236 had lost its way but it is back with a complete new look. Its very urban industrial, bare brick walls and lots of metal, which may not be to everyone's taste but I really like it. The attention to detail on the fixtures and fittings, small and large, is very good and... More

This was one of the best venues in Prestatyn when it first opened, good atmosphere, nice food menu and sensible people. Sadly all that has gone now and 236 does not seem to know what it is about anymore chopping and changing from one style to another. The bar is a bit basic now and the seating style atrocious. Perhaps... More

When I went to Bar 236 it was very quiet and chatting to the barmaid was a great help for local knowledge, I gathered this place gets busy at the weekend, it was comfortable and I would go back for a good night out

We never dined as we were waiting for a table next door at the italian but service here was excellent and by the looks of the kitchen ,( they left the door open) very clean and well stocked with new equipment . The real ale was... More

This had a fabulous chef with classy surroundings and was a real gem. We loved going there. Then they stopped the food, moved tables to accommodate drinkers and now has a "cattle market" feel about it with posers and wannabe wags in attendance. Shame.

If you are a local then this is where you will find people that you know on a Friday and Saturday evening. They used to serve food with a really good menu but lately I have noticed that the kitchen has been closed. The prices of the drinks are higher than the charges in the pubs that can be found...
